Just remember. No matter how high and mighty they think that they've become...

they do it for free
Way to pull a card that can't be argued with. The least they could do is be consistent and professional in a way that AAA game companies are. Don't be a mindless drone that yells praz at the staff for fixing a problem that has existed for years.

It just feels to me that things are slowly changing and probably for the better. Just that they're doing it in the same manner they did before. Behind the scenes how ever they want with little to no structure for the public to see.

They want to clean up RnF a bit,. sure but they only did a few threads. they make posts and peoples threads disappear over night, which has happened on multiple occasions. That's not in my mind how to properly manage a community of fans. The staff should only have to post one time about something and that post should be sound, well thought out and address the issue in a professional and intelligent way.

I understand that how I've said all this people will misconstrue what I mean but one thing I can make clear is that I want to see consistent professionalism from all staff across the board. Certain staff have way too much leeway with how they choose to handle things and the people at the top support them. Even if the decisions are bias or whims/emotion.

Part of being professional is not making friends who are players.

If the government chooses to shut down such generic tools, it will hurt people's ability to "look at cute cats online", spreading dissent and encouraging the activists' cause.

You must be new here if you think that wasn't a jab at the mods.

Context: even the 4chan mods got hot pockets when they fucked up that site beyond recognition (turning into reddit 2.0).

You quoted me wrong and changed how I said it by cutting off the end of a sentence and adding a period.

also it was difficult to determine what you meant, It sounded like you were using their old technique to defend anything they do.

also not new, sorry. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
In my defense...

Are you the authority on forum moderation here? Do you want me to PM you every time I see something on the forums I think needs to be moved / moderated and make sure I get your buy off before I do anything about it? Thats not how this works, but if thats what you want you may want to start up your own community, or step up and volunteer here and actually try to help rather than moan.

I volunteered here because I got tired of the porn / hate speech / racial slurs spewed all over this forum for the last 6 years I've been here, so I volunteered and stepped up to do something about it. I didn't complain about it endlessly in RnF every single time I saw something I thought needed attention, instead I decided to be an adult and take action. The existing staff agreed with what I wanted to do, and here I am. The leadership here decided they wanted to take moderation a step further post Daybreak agreement, and I for one welcome the changes am happy to support it. Apparently the vocal minority does not though, but the majority do.

If a post doesnt belong here, we're going to remove it. Period. We don't need public opinion / approval to do so. We want the forums cleaned up. Thats really pretty cut and dry. There is no conspiracy behind it. Now, what about that is "behind the scenes"?

Frankly, others on the staff and myself are pretty tired of the constant moaning and whining about forum moderation (this is Rants and Flames - even I can rant here about your whining [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]). We really aren't doing anything that we haven't told the community about. There is no conspiracy. There is no ulterior motive. We want the forums cleaned up, end of story.

Also, moving threads to off topic that are not P99 related is part of these changes, get used to it. Sorry if you disagree.

If this is how you treat someone taking your side...

Ah the truth comes out. This place was just 2egy4u so you just had to "volunteer" to come in and fuck it up for everyone else. Thanks! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I'd say go eat your hot pockets but you didn't even get that much.
