The lack of PvP is actually my only complaint about P99. Sometimes as I'm leveling up I think, why bother? I'll get to 50 and then the game is essentially over unless you start alts because I've never really cared for raiding especially not the kind of bullshit multiday long raid camps here.

Rallos rules would be stupid though, everyone knows +/- 8 levels, coin only drop, race based team PvP was the best PvP ever in EQ because of its mass appeal. Sure, I played Rallos, Sullon, and even Discord but those were very niche rulesets whereas the team servers even appealed to newbs because you were relatively safe if you stuck to your teams dungeons and such. Only thing that ruined it was cross race guilds being allowed that would then port healers in and such on the same team as you so they could invulnerable heal against you.

PvP is opt-in (priest of discords + arenas etc.). Everyone who wants PvP can have it, and everyone who doesn't want it can choose not to have it. This is essentially the same as having a PvP server. Your complaint isn't so much about the server's rules but about the small number of people who also want PvP.

This is why im basically not playing till Kunark hits. Ive seen the content once, its not fun enough (to me) to roll another alt or play afk sit for a week. I know it wasnt a pvp server when i rolled here so im not complaining its just... not gonna play. I would probably be considering playing if raid mobs were FFA but with this claimed stuff... no adrenaline.

1. Make all Raid zones PvP.
2. FFA rules, let the guilds sort it out.

DONE.
I approve of this. 100%.
Bring it on! Pansies!

Many years ago a GM on the test server got called into a dispute in HHK between multiple people about ks'ing, camp stealing, etc. etc. Evidently everyone was yelling and complaining and bitching all at once.

The GM finally just got tired of it and turned on everyone's pvp switch and left. One of the best things I've ever heard of in game.

I think that the major difference is reds cant group with blues. On a pvp server everyone was red so finding groups was not a problem. Maybe the pvpers could go with a "start a red toon today" day... Thats what i was thinking of doing, going red with my mage. I had already asked and proposed that reds could be tweaked to be able to group with blues, dont know how hard it is to code.

I agree, if reds could group with blues + receive buffs/etc I would have gone red day 1. I think this is a good idea.

Then red brings blue friend along to heal.

There isn't really a good way to do it.
