Legacy of zek was fun but the admin went mia and people stopped playing. Amazing pvp 3 months straight. Red 99 more stable with a real admin staff.

yeah the pvp on LoZ was far better than it has been on red99 for a good while during that server's prime

because the exp rate didn't make me contemplate suicide, there wasn't dumb shit like trak teeth/gate pots/golem wands etc., yellow text, leaderboards, 2boxing, active devs

trak teeth didn't have the lifetap, golem wands were not in-game

gate pots had like a 30 second cast

And they were making changes daily, in OOC and forum daily.

LoZ was far from being as polished as P99 but at least they were trying. P99 is just some big name brand that doesn't give a fck about its users like most big businesses tend to neglect once there is no other competition that forces you to stay competitive and make changes. Rogean is fat and and rich now which means we get stuck with a product that receives the bare minimum IF that in service and maintenance.

Don't get me wrong, P99 is the best and if you like PvP + classic EQ, this is the place to be. There are a few hurdles to get over such as twink grief, lots of soloing etc, but if you can deal with it, it's very rewarding.

I recommend getting a friend or several friends to come with you for maximum immersion. I hope you decide to play.

hundreds of people that play here and hundreds more come here every day just to keep up with the community. If someone is playing here that generally means that EQ is the best game they've ever played. They need more...

Some reworked 20x over Diablo 3 style absolute bomb? Who knows.

I won't be hyped by another MMO, but I will play EQ Next for the same reason I tried EQ 2 later after release. It's EQ, I wanna see what its all about for myself. Not to mention? Most MMOs that have PvP are great during the sprint on launch process. Always drama, lawls etc.
