![]() I had a similar problem connecting to EQEmu servers at my brother's house. My client would freeze after clicking "Enter World" or whatever that button is called on the char select screen. I suspected the router immediately since I had successfully logged on to EQEmu servers with the same client and computer at another location. (Which is a great way to see if your connection is the problem)
My problem was caused by an incorrect router setting--the "Encapsulation" setting. This setting is different depending on your ISP. Once I fixed this setting, I was able to connect with no issues. The interesting thing is that all of my other online applications were working prior to this change--with the incorrect settings-- and continue to function well now Anyway, hope this is of some help. I puzzled over this one for a week. It may be worth a try to call your ISP and double-check all of your router settings. | ||

![]() Had this same problem. Its caused by EQ trying to load a resolution it doesn't know how to deal with. Deleting eqclient.ini or reloading default display settings prior to connecting is how to fix it.
