From a min/max standpoint, Ogre, personally I like Iksar or Dwarf

Just out of curiosity I'd like to hear more first-hand info from players that have rolled tanking classes which utilize Sneak. There are a few wide-open zones where (as a Rogue) just Sneak was enough, but in almost any place worth hunting (Sol A, within Mistmoore Castle, depths of Guk), I needed to Sneak-Hide to get anywhere. A lot of static mobs spawn in pairs and are positioned to face each other from opposite corners, so while your Sneak allows you to get behind one you're simultaneously in frontal view of another.

I can't imagine a tank being able to Sneak very far without blowing his cover, but I'd love to hear how I'm wrong. Details, please!

As a DE I have a hide button, it doesn't seem to work worth a shit. I thought people rolled Assling because of the exp bonus?

Being a large race isn't a big deal, shrink pots are 20p a use if you can't bother a shaman for one and there's no shammy in group. Neither is being evil, IMO, can raise FP faction and get solid exp in HPH round 15 (loot scalps), and EC round 8 (same thing) if you want faction with the one really useful good city. There're tons of gypsies out there to vendor with.

Warrior is a class you DO want to min/max, so I highly recommend ogre. As a cleric when I group w/ small-race tanks I sigh a little. I lose mana efficiency on CH.

Half Elves look the best in plate armor, and that's a fact.

I chose dark elf because I love ultravision and just like the race because I used to play dark elf casters.

As far as min/max it is for sure ogre. The innate stats are a great help early and then no frontal stuns is pretty important in some late game fights.

Ogres, immune to stun from the front, win.
