I wish people would stop thinking that capitalism and communism are binary opposites. There has never in the history of the human race been a purely capitalist or purely communist society: it's a spectrum, and while a country can be more or less capitalist/communist, it can't be purely one or the other (a pure version of either would be unworkable in the real world).

America has socialist elements, and the "communist" USSR had capitalist elements. Neither economic system is entirely "good" or "evil"; they're complex, and under some circumstances each has their advantages.

The world is filled with shades of gray, both in general and in our own little P99 microcosm. The discussions here would be at least a little bit less stupid if people could keep that fact in mind.
