Is there more to this story? All I've seen or know about this is that some dude has been running a free public VOIP server which he bumps all the time, he gets shit deleted and banned after a bit of antagonism and no word from any higher ups.

I'm so confuzzled.

Same here, uncharted( the OP) is a really nice and friendly dude, not really sure what would cause him to be banned unless him bumping his free voice chat for all to use was breaking some rule.

Well.. If he got any kind of angry and spoke up to a GM even in the slightests, that's pretty much insta-ban. The GM's here are kinda trigger happy in that regard. I have experienced it first hand.

this is White.. but i didn't get angry with the gms i didn't even talk to them i logged in to forums and saw my post gone i started this thread to see if a gm would respond to tell me what i did wrong.. i received no PM saying "hey we deleted ur thread it was against the rules" or something similar cuz if i would have i wouldn't have re posted it but to be banned with no warning is kinda messed up i would have appreciated a heads up and i could have dealt with it accordingly.. anyways i hope that cleared up some questions...

I would guess that this was it. From my experience and foresight GM's like things to be handled in a mature private matter. Keep it behind closed doors. They don’t seem to like it when they do something and someone turns right around and make a post of why did this happen. Sending a PM and waiting for a response **patently** seems to work the best.

Seems they follow the bad parent philosophy - Do as I say, not as I do.

That can't be the whole story. It's not like he posted a rant. The gms have been more tolerant of rants than apparently what this case was. I say apparently, because there are multiple sides to every story and we heard only one.

Can we not turn this isn't a damn witch hunt? I'm just curious why the dude's being squelched over a free service he's providing and has been providing for quite a while now. There's obviously more to this story than just his side of it, i can't imagine something to this extent would just change arbitrarily.

Merica! We burned witches and stick our noise is crap that’s not our business!

We demand to know about everything that has nothing to do with us, it’s just our right!

Also got to point the finger someplace cause we sure as hell aint going to start pointing at ourselves, that would make too much sense.

It does have something to do with the people who use and appreciate what he voluntarily provides for everybody on the server.
