It's the people boxing characters to take down mobs, level, raid, etc. that ruin the game. There is a reason I don't play PEQ anymore...

Probably the least obvious form of boxing is the poopsockers who are running a character far far away. Every time you meet up at the bank to drop off items or money, I see you, and I have you on my friend list, and I will have enough evidence to slam you eventually.

There was a post on a forum I frequent that got at least 10 people (myself included) to start playing. I think the Everquest Next unveiling got people nostalgic and lots of the various forums posted links to Project 1999. That's how it went for me, at least.

You calling me a poopsocker? Wouldn't that imply I get a chance at the bigger raid targets? or even attempt to go after them? If so call me what you will as long as I get a chance at them! I have ALWAYS wanted to kill Naggy/Vox, but doubt I ever will because of the poopsocking that happens here. I am far from that hardcore! lol.
