Part of the problem with trying to proc is the base rate is only 2x /minute at 100 dex and because most everyone is using weapons from lvl 40+ dungeons the mobs die so fast it just doesn't matter.

50+ once you're rocking 40-60+ dex from shaman buffs & can gear a bit more for dex & mobs last longer than 10 seconds you start hitting areas where you can proc on a mob early enough in a fight that it makes a difference.

It really depends on what you're fighting. If you're in a camp where you can pull mid to high blues all day, it really doesn't matter (ie, level 20 warrior tanking unrest), but if you're a 30sh group doing Goblins in high keep, you also fight red cons - and these really don't die that fast. Procs help immensely keeping those raiders on you.

It's 2/min at 255dex with the main hand only, 3/min at 255dex mh&oh.

At 100dex with mh&oh it's definitely under 2/min. 140dex is the cutoff for 2/min using two proc weapons.

That's why I think it's just not worth it to invest in stacking dex at the lower levels. Stack hp and stay alive longer and make clerics have to heal a bit less.

I recommend faster weapons. Each hit seems to generate a base amount of agro, regardless of damage, so if you attack fast enough, you'll stay up on agro fairly well.

Max dps until you can use two yaks and then get your dex over 100 with a cloak of shadows, bracer of scavenging, and a grotesque mask (+25dex).
