Most people who play Emulated EQ are either too poor to play a new game because there 15 year old compaq can't handle it, or are too stupid to try new things.

90% of MMOs that have been released after WoW have been shit so it's ok to be weary of any new game but for you to harp on something like the alignment of imaginary purple elves makes you look like a neckbeard.

As long as they keep there promises of unique combat and a real feeling world I would play as Hello Kitty if the game brings back the EQ feeling.

It looks like a cartoon, everyone can solo, it sounnds like they'll forego death penalties so people dont QQ after doing something stupid, and all the races will be frolicking together like its woodstock. Tell me. Where in all of that do you think you'll derive any sort of "EQ feels"?

Im not. In the first few months after EQ2 was released, i thought it was a really good game. It was different, but they did it right. Now though, MMO has come to mean WoW with different character models. If theres no challenge, theres no fun.

Landmark looks fine with the artwork, It will be fine.

You have to design your class and you can only have 8 abilities at a time, so if you want to solo you have to give up something else, They said you can't switch on the fly.

They said there was a death pen but they don't know what it is yet.

SOE knows whats good for profits, which is what a business aims for above all else. Theyre constantly adapting their methods to draw in a bigger fanbase for the sake of more money. If they have to go to path of WoW to appease lazy people, thats what they'll do. They had a good thing going, but killed in for the sake of a dollar.
