![]() I worked yesterday and was able to log on for about 1.5 hours. I got my last yellow of 35, dinged 36, and promptly logged.
This morning as I was preparing to leave for work I saw the rollback message, logged on, and re-grinded back to 36 in about 45 minutes. I don't see why it would take past Friday for anyone to make up the progress they lost on the roll back. The folks who are more time limited such as myself probably weren't on for 12 hours yesterday, and those who were on all day likely will find 12 hours to play in the next day or so.

![]() Geeze. If people don't like the notion of double XP then avoid playing while it's on. I think the vast majority of players like the idea of a temporary boost and really appreciate the reason for it. There was a roll back which sucks for a lot of people. Not everyone can get on today / tomorrow so a longer duration will help. It gets so tiring seeing a handful of people on the boards treating this like it's the end of the world. Do things which limit XP gain if it's such a bitter pill to swallow. This is temporary and for a good reason. LEt it last a while so that everyone has a chance to benefit from it.

![]() I agree it would be nice to stop the double exp a day earlier than you would have otherwise and instead make that day Saturday/Sunday. It's the same amount overall but would definitely give everyone a chance to enjoy.

![]() I never got people that were hostile to the idea of an experience boost. It's not like it's something that happens regularly, and it's not something that will cause some kind of harm to the server.
It's just a nice gesture to some people that lost some of their time to a bug. It is granted like once in a blue moon. I'd like to see it last through the weekend too (I get very little time to play during the week), but if it doesn't- meh, no big deal. It's not like I'm in a hurry to get to 50, anyway. Either way, it's only going to make a miniscule difference in how much I experience I gain in the long run. Even if it were to go through the end of the weekend, the extra XP wouldn't account for more than a fraction of one percent of total experience gained over the life of any of my characters.

![]() When my husband told me that we lost the full day of grinding and camping quest items I admit that I fumed for a bit. Seeing the double exp and reimbursements that the devs are doing is so incredibly awesome.
It always sucks to lose work that we've put in but the project 1999 staff rocks for helping us out so much. <3 | ||

![]() I think 3 days is more than adequate. On one hand you can't assume that if somebody XP'd for 12 hours strait that they'll have 12 more hours to do it again immediately after the rollback. Making it 3 days gives them time to get some of that exp back around their schedule. On the other hand, making it a week or longer would probably be detrimental to the server's classic-ness! The hardcores will just take advantage of it and bust out 3 more level 50 alts.

![]() It doesn't matter to me which way the devs decide to go with this...if we get too used to the double exp, it is absolutely going to hurt when they take it away. It sucks because I'm moving this weekend and I have to spend a bit of time packing but I'll be on whenever I can to get what I can.

![]() Although an entire weeks worth of increased XP gain is a little excessive (alts alts alts!) who cares if it's not Classic? All they are doing is accommodating to those that have lost time and efforts into bettering their toons; which is not uncommon to the EQ Classic and how some GM's and Guides handled situations to appease the mass crowd.
And perhaps not 12 hour rollback, but I've definitely seen a nasty rollback on the Nameless which lasted roughly from a Thursday to a Monday...I'm not complainin', I just did shit over...So again, just another thing to bitch about I guess, which is a little unnecessary, go pay for your EQ1 live subscription if you feel you've the right to complain about the decision making of those that actually DO pay to maintain this game and have made the efforts to make this Classic experience possible for whomever is interested, rather than exclusive. In other words, let em do whatever the hell they want, if they choose to do it on a weekend, or a week day or for X amount of hours, let 'em, not every single player that was affected by the 12 hour roll back is going to be able to participate in the double XP weekend, but it doesn't mean you still can't log in after the fact and take advantage of Classic itself, yessss.
