Walleye and crappie best freshwater fish, no doubt. Northern can be just as good, just a PITA to clean and ya gotta Y bone those mofos.

Bass is not as bad as people think, but definitely not on par with anything from the pike family or panfish.

I think the only fresh water fish I ever ate was tilapia and p sure that was farm raised. I didn't even think people are that fish.

They're awful but you get so much. Was a tradition in my wife's family to boil them and eat with butter. Poor mans crab.
