This scenario isn't even remotely happening. There's been 1 scam, not an epidemic like you portray. And it wasn't even a legit scamming, more like a rip-off. Arrowed had been running a legit casino for weeks and had paid out a Cloak of Flames and Fungi x2 already. He lost 2 fungi's within 24 hours and made a terrible decision for which HE ALONE should be punished.

Again just for clarity, This was once instance - and it was not some level 1 casino no one had never heard of running a complete fraud. He was wearing a CoF and Fungi and had legitimately paid out both of those items recently. There is no widespread scamming. This entire thing seems to be solely about spam purists who only want to see un-classic item links, and imaginative GMs musing about RMT possibilities with a casino.

You obviously didn't read my post thoroughly if that's your response to my post.

I never stated there was any epidemic as you just decided to make up on your own. If anything I should have posted my post in the other thread, I just didn't see it there, but was more replying to your post to benefit you and other legit casinos.

Enforcing a strict no scam policy not only benefits the legit casinos, there's a good chance it would have prevented this situation completely. There's always going to be that person who is dumb enough to still try and get away with it.

Tough if he made a bad decision. It's one he shouldn't have made. If you don't have the goods or plat you're promising people, or don't want to pay up, and you're still taking their money until you lose, it's a scam, and you should be punished for it. It's black and white.

There were no casinos early on because the /random calc was in the client and could be altered.

Casinos ... Not Classic.

I already removed the min chance to resist code. Just not patched. Need to adjust root and charm break code still.

So what are you asking? Renerf resists?

I don't agree with banning all casinos either, even though it will solve a lot of problems for the guides.

What I do agree with is making an example out of the people who scam. Ban all of the dude's accounts if he did scam and it wasn't just his power that went out due to tropical storm /q, and call it a day.

I honestly believe people are scamming because there seems to be this perception that there will be no consequences. Instead of this grey area that seems to be lingering, implement a strict no scam policy, and be done with it. A guaranteed ban of all accounts is going to limit the number of petitions related to this crap in the future.
I see your point, but one issue, this takes CSR time which sucks.
I say at their own risk, always forever, don't ban scammers.

Like I said enough burns, the kids will stop touching the hot stove.
Casino's dry up, as everyone is to afraid to use them. Problem solved.

Luclin (server) and Tholuxe... neither had a casino on them while I was there.

On the ezboard unofficial Tholuxe forum it got suggested about starting one and everyone jumped on them saying they'd get banned for it. Thought that was a widespread consensus for all servers but apparently "okay on some"? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Casinos == Scam or RMT typically.

Maybe we need /random to not work in EC?
