Been trying all these things. Nothing again today and rarely a courier at all. I think I'm going to give up and buy one when exping yields cash, which is probably like level 55 and the ring will be irrelevant by then. By the time I can afford useful stuff it's usually irrelevant at that level.

Nah I did 2.5 hours this morning on 2 spawn, 3 couriers no ring.

Took a break, logged in, killed ph. Courier spawned next and finally got the ring. Now I'm free!
