Iksars actually have 2 different "chain" graphics, the higher end being their "end game plate" graphic which is odd and negates the argument for lazy designers not wanting to create a new graphic model for the race.

It's rather obvious that Iksar are coldblooded and thus need good thermo-regulation. This cannot be accomplished by stuff, encapsulating plate armor, thus they need something more breathable like chain or scale mail.

Dunno where you guys got this scale chafing non-sense, it's because they are cold blooded. They need to take in heat from the outside. The sun, etc.

Was even crazier that they couldn't wear the Kunark class armor sets...as a race introduced in kunark...

Pretty sure it was because they were pressed for time and creating models for male/female iksar plate helped them make release.

Whatever the reason, it doesn't make sense for them to retain the AC bonus when wearing plate, or possibly even chain >.>
