Many factors over the years made Cuba less than it could have been. One of them being the US embargo.

But hey, if you talked against the government in Cuba in the 70s, you might have ended up in jail. If you did that in El salvador, or any of the US-supported fascistic banana republics at the time, your wife might have found you on the porch with your balls in your mouth or your head on a spike, just to make sure the rest of the "communist vermin" didnt get any funny ideas.

Just pick any latin american country which were under US-supported military dictatorship during the 60s-80s and its the same story. Brazil, Honduras, Chili, Colombia...

If you do I would love to hear your explination on building 7, the WTC building that "collapsed" from a fire started from debris?

Please feel free to explain how a steel framed building (Building 7) collapsed from a simple fire and yet no steel building in history has ever collapsed due to a fire before this event, and none after?

If you can sit behind your keyboard and say that you believe a "fire" demolished a steel building to a state of rubble, try looking up some footage of burning buildings before you post a reply to this to save yourself the embarrassment.

I think it's safe to say that building 7 was related to the attacks, and if the story we were told about how it was demolished is untrue, how can you believe that the stories about the other 2 towers (which were told by the same people) can be trusted?

P.S. The US government stands a lot more to gain than it does to lose from this act, both in revenue and public support. Assuming that their story is true/believed.

You are proposing that we murder 3000 people for uncertain and dubious political gain, as well as stop airlines from operating for a week, and spending thousands of man hours flying combat sorties over the US, followed by two wars (I will say two and a half, because really, we are at war with Iran).

I call total and complete bullshit. Anyone who claims it was an inside job based on dubious engineering claims lacks basic material and statics design knowledge or is very duped.

I am an engineer, and have been in engineering as a bench tech, engineer and system designer for about 30 years. I don't like big government, and when I hear the government tell me something I look very hard at it. Most Americans didn't read any detail from the the entire WTC Commission report, just like most of your congress-critters don't read bills they pass.

Failure and root cause analysis is a very important study in engineering. I have seen wings come off aircraft because someone simply put a line of caulk inside an aircraft and created a corrosion problem. I have seen fires start because one wire in a power system was a different material. There are many oddities in failures.

The mechanism for the WTC collapse is pretty straight forward, if you understand buildings and statics; material science; and load tolerances.

Here is my short view of the mechanism of failure.

All modern tall and large buildings translate weight to a foundation. In the great Pyramids and castles this was done by thickening the load bearing walls at the foundation. When steel as a load bearing material was invented we used a skeleton. As we got better, we used levers and counterbalance to transfer the mass of the upper stories from the center of the building to the load bearing outside walls.

Steel itself is an engineering breakthrough, the secret of steel was actually lost to engineering. It originated in the Indian Subcontinent before Christ was born, and was later called Damascus Steel. Steel and other alloys works because micro-crystal dendrites and minerals in the metal make it rigid. You heat steel and it becomes weaker.

The WTC building towers were a masterpiece of engineering, in that the load bearing walls were the skin, and the interior did not need as many support braces, leaving more square footage. The crashes removed large parts of the load bearing walls. Heat steel under pressure and it fails. This heat from the fire caused local beams to fail, which resulted in a cascade failure. The outside walls were not designed to function as load bearing with much of the structure gone.

The impacts were in bad places, being right below the section of lighter trusses on the 107th floor. Shortly after the crashes, floors below the crash had already begun to pancake due to heat from burning fuel, a half hour later the first collapse occurred.

The same basics apply to WTC 7 except that it used cantilevers to translate weight. There was also fuel oil stored in the building and the conclusion was the weight of material striking the building, the fire and the loss of all fire suppression equipment caused an imbalance in the cantilever design. It took a few days but the building went down as well.

Its not something mysterious. As an aside, if there were munitions in the aircraft or on the floors, most of that jet fuel would have vaporized, and would not have caused the failures that were observed.
