1-4, newbie zone
4-12, EC
12-20, oasis
20-30ish, loio
30-40ish, OT
40-50, DL
50-60 KC/Seb
Makes me sad that Cazic-thule isn't used as a leveling zone. In Classic that zone was always bumpin. Ahhh, back when 2 Ogres would train the whole zone, block the exit and watch everyone die.

Those were the days.

I've never liked that position. Whether camps are officially recognized Bundestag staff or not is irrelevant. Camps are community norms and those who ignore them ought to suffer thebwrath of the community. While your training may have been annunderhanded tactic, unfortunately it is all you could do. They sought to undermine your group when they could have just camped cy (assuming it was open), upstairs, or even the kitchen and then compete with your group for mobs in between. Instead, they elected to assault your group by denying it any xp at all. Your response was appropriate ^^

Classic Live CT was, perhaps, my favouritest zone of all. Came for the Dark Ember, stayed for the love.

Don't remember that though.

dear abby,
the other day i was in a group on my alt-sk in MM, pulling from inside castle to the CE. some guys decided to sit in the foyer, right in the middle of where our mobs pathed outside, and started saying that if we were camped outside the castle that we werent allowed to pull from inside. determining that they were stupid, i continued to pull mobs from the TR, and when they would jump on the other grp i would FD and pull more. i guess eventually they had enough and decided to run for it, training my grp. some of them made it out, where my grp efficiently handled their train.

aside from some explatives exchanged in ooc, thats the jist of the story... but my moral compass is spinning. should i have handled the situation differently, i would like some opinions here pls.
Seen this happen before. I was helping some people at CE when a group of 4-5 trooped on in and sat inside... then complained when I pulled through them, then complained more when they couldn't outaggro me on those pulls.

As GMs don't generally get involved with camps etc its down to the player base not to be assholes... if you want CE and CE is taken, you're being an asshole by sitting just inside the castle imo, especially if pit is camped and you know they've literally been left with 6-7 mobs per cycle.

Umm what's wrong with Ayn Rand?

When you turn that question around, and ask what's right with Ayn Rand, and discover that the answer is "nothing, nothing at all", then you won't have to waste anybody's time with stupid questions like that.

Progenitor of a philosophy (actually really just ripping off Nietzsche & pals) that embraces the bacterial impulses of humanity to exploit, multiply, subjugate, and destroy. One of her disciples (Alan Greenspan) is partly responsible for the destruction of any semblance of economic equality in the US. Her work really resonated with that little voice in all Americans that says "I'm just a temporarily embarrassed millionaire, and it's only a matter of time before I pull myself up by my bootstraps, enslave some workers, and do my part in destroying the planet in pursuit of mindless consumption". That voice evolved and coagulated into the idiotic inane shouting called the Tea Party.

Objectivists (Ayn Rand cultists) tend to reject determinism, which is a fundamental law of the observable universe so far (if you overlook the probabilistic micro-indeterminism inherent in quantum mechanics.), in the same way that creationists reject evolution. They believe in what they call 'rational self interest', a system of ethics that has been widely panned by contemporary academia. That debate is too much to go into here but I'd encourage you to read about it. The only way humanity is going to survive the next few centuries is by shifting the priorities of our lives away from the acquisition of things and 'how can I fuck over everyone else to make my life better' to 'how can I improve myself and my society'. I could go on for hours about how much I hate Ayn Rand and all the reasons why I disagree with objectivists but I'm not.

TL;DR: She's a messiah for libertarians, republicans, objectivists, and all other temporarily embarrassed millionaires everywhere, and a proponent for neo-fuedalism and the idea that the 'elite minds' carry all the rest of us poor, dirty, lazy, incompetent motherfuckers on their shoulders.

Ohh I get it now. You mean the people who plop down in those places are villains because they, the dirty lazy mofo's (your words), seek to ride on the shoulders of the elite minds (sucking resources from the privileged)! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I am curious, what is your prescription for that group? I am not looking to debate objectivism (I don't know enough about it to make for an engaging discussion). I just find it interesting that you seem opposed to rational self interest while at the same time suggesting the answer to scarcity is for those without to remain without [You must be logged in to view images.
