I guess I have a different impression of how bottlenecky some things will really be, particularly the CS key. Alas, as has been stated no one really knows.

Is it safe to say that any sale items sitting in the bank should be sold asap? Specifically adamantite club and ikky bp.

Velks quickly replaced Seb for most of my server for the 50-60 grind iirc. It has a lot less loot but location location location.

not sure on Addy club - it still should be useful for monks who want to tank things

Ikky BP- I dont believe Velious has a bunch of new sources for melee regen items

So Ikky BP and Fungi tunic still have plenty value - Ikky BP may even go up bc who wants to continue to farm it !

Only Tradeable Regen item for Melee will be the Belt of the Great Turtle (2) from Lodizal.

You could in theory MQ things like the Chardok multi slot and some Dozekar pieces but you will need faction and huge amounts of money and at that point you'd already have a fungi.

I don't really think too many items prices will change other than high end stuff. Haste may become cheaper due to the Silver Chitin (which don't have their classic stats right now, must ClassicQuest this) and Orc Fang Earrings.

The items that will take the biggest hits will be things like Donals BPs or VS Greaves that stop being BIS and don't have Clickies that are useful (those like the SK greaves will remain expensive). Also lots of Jewelry becomes less good. Platinum Diamond/Jacinth rings are both replaced in Velious with Velium. Resist Wrists are all obsoleted by Velium Blue Diamond Wrists one month in.

Lots of stuff becomes no drop/quested that is good so you can't really buy that stuff out of the gate. A year into Velious I expect to see loot rights and MQs sold to many things but outright plat won't get you that far IMO.

It seems like the Vindi BP (http://wiki.project1999.com/Chestplate_of_Vindication) only has Aura of Battle (2 HP a tick), compared to the Fungal Tunic's regrowth which gives 15 HP a tick. That hardly seems like much of a "replacement to me", but you're not the first person to mention it.

What am I missing? The only thing I can think of is that Shaman with Torpor don't care about regen, and the Vindi BP is desired because of its stats and not its regen. But then if that's the case why do people always talk about Vindi BP replacing Fungal; shouldn't they be talking about it replacing other (non-regen) BPs?

I think that they are assuming that most 60 shaman use a fungi (I guess not thinknig about torp), thus it would be the BP being replaced.

Unless you're solo tanking something hard and you need the HP/AC on a Vindi BP. Or in a resist fight and you need those tesists.

The regen on a fungi is still going to benefit a shaman more in a typical group or raid trash clear situation because it equates to more mana a tick without having to cast Torpor.
