What are the teams? Just good vs evil vs neutral? Or can neutral be on either side?

Duke vs. Wisconsin. Both evil. Choosing either side is bad.

SZ was based on deity/race. No level restriction on PVP, just TvT. And yes, there were sides who did not have access to certain classes. Once, you roll a side, you cannot make a character on the other team unless you create a new account, #tradecraft.

I think it went something like this. I can't find any references for it though:

darkies:
dark elf
troll
ogre
iksar

lighties/elves:
high elf
wood elf
dwarf
gnome

humans/neutral:
human
halfelf
erudite
halfling
barbarian

You can't attack anyone on your team, but you can buff/heal members of other teams.

That's correct.

And on live what actually happened was that lighties/good not having access to necromancers/SKs were missing summon corpse, so the devs added some form of token or consumable that could be used in lieu of the actual spell.

I remember that on SZ, evil side was dominating the server, not only in pvp but also in pve. This is why fansy and the whole "go go good team" were created. Fansy knew being a goodie on an evil/neut dominated server would give him tons of targets.

Yeah, it sounds great, and I'd stop playing any other game/server/etc the second it was released.
