I'd avoid the gnomes as a rogue. The mages will DS everything in the vicinity which is gonna eat you alive. My 40 monk has trouble with a single max-level mage if it decides to cast more than 1-2 nukes, even if I start at full HP with mend up.

Maybe try DL yetis. No casters to mess with and a fair bit of space to work with if you need/want to Instill Doubt.

Gnomes are amazing for monks though. You really just need FD or a lot of luck with sneak pulls.

I solo'd on my monk with a fungi in DL until 50...wasn't the most exciting game play but it was easy.

Intimidate/fungi regen isn't as uber as it once was, but its still pretty good.

It's too bad that there isn't an item to dispel their shields with. I saw there was something called a potion of negation or a crystallized pumice or something, both had Dispel Magic as an effect. I'm not sure how much they cost, heck they might even only dispel the shielding and not the damage shield. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

They're pretty cheap, I don't remember how much exactly but it isn't going to be significant if you're sporting a Fungi.

A post I found said that the Crystallized Pumice cost 19plat & change to a 65CHA Dwarf. If this price is correct it would be about 4plat per charge. I will come back and post with an exact P1999 Price sometime tonight. Unless one of you guys, that are not at work can beat me to it.

Hopefully it would dispel the shield the first dispel, the good news is that it casts Nullify Magic, which I believe removes 2 buffs at a time.

However it may not dispel the damage shield the first use. Also I believe you would have to avoid all attacks for 3 seconds while it is being cast, still pretty cool. However, if it was a fully buffed mob that wasn't a mage but had NPC caster buddies, we could be looking at 2 dispels to take off Sow -> Shielding -> Haste -> Damage Shield. So the effective cost could be 4-8plat per monster with a damage shield.

Be something worth testing out or using in certain situations.

Soloing on my 38 Rogue has become a bit harder. I am moving from Flame > Fire > Inferno Goblins > to the Soluseks, which are a lot harder. Especially the mage and priests.

I tried fighting the gnomes but they hit much harder than the goblins, and the mages seem to be a problem with their damage shields and pets. The healers seem to be a problem as well. Any tips for fighting the damned gnomes?
Gotta practice your circle and pass-through backstabs and caster push. Damage shields are just a bitch.

Where?
I had a Monk with a Fungi that I used to solo in BR at Lguk until I was like 45ish, then moved toward ASS/SUP until I was 50

I'm starting to be able to push @38 but I need more dual wield / double attack combos.
