Is it possible to play end-game content as a new player?

I try to give newer players the straight dope regarding raiding on this server. There will always be a number 1 raiding guild that mobilizes for raid targets within 15-30 mins. Right now its Rampage. These guilds want you to play a lot, don't make mistakes often, and be available to answer the batphone most the time. (They also require lvl 60 and full MR gear; and its pretty common for players to have at least 1 60 alt).

If that's you, you can have better gear than many of the people that played on this server for many years. Otherwise, you are going to have to be patient and accept gearing will be much slower than if you were in guild number 1. There might be some gear that is near impossible to get outside of the number 1 guild.

Other guilds have a core of players just as good as the top guild (where they often spent time in), but they simply don't have the competitive attitude or will to race for FTE that the number 1 guild has. Most people choose these guilds anyway, because they don't like EQ holding them hostage. It's important to note that these guilds will still raid at 1-2 am....It's just not expected from the membership.

Yeah, this is just not true. As long as you move forward, it doesn't matter how slowly, you will eventually catch up because there is nothing after Velious.

As long as you make forward progress towards an object that is not moving, you will eventually reach it.

I doubt anyone will read this at this point, but I was able to snag Treants last Saturday and yesterday. I stuck on the camp both times for over 12 hours and now I have a Circlet of Shadow and ~3000 more plat in the bank. Thank you for the advice!

Been on the server for less than a year and Im in the top 5 warriors on the server now. It does not take long if you know what your doing and my war is my second toon on the server made a necro first to farm money.

Necros are easy to get to 60 and you could be in the top guild in no time if you're a good player and have good playtime.
