I think you broke root with the latest patch, none of my roots hold the full duration anymore. Now they break very fast. I tested this a lot.

My roots were holding fine. Maybe the specific spell you're using changed, or the mob you were rooting? Or you're just super unlucky?

Awww, I was hoping this was the patch to allow rangers to use their new spells, have their skill caps increased and actually be able to Exp lol. Bummer.

Sounds like a personal problem (i.e. your PC). Maybe check the Tech forum for others who've dealt with similar issues?
