Hmmm, this is in line w/ what Kutsu says (as well as a lot of other discussion on the topic), but is inconclusive :/

Yeah as far as patch notes on P99 go, we are definitely on the 14.9->18.9->22.9 setup as far as backend coding goes. The client isn't though. I'm just assuming that is because Titanium client has those calculations built in on the client side.

Unless something has changed, the displayed AC will lie to you (in a bad way). The game client thinks that monk weight caps are from the late velious patch where they overhaul it (not in on P99 yet). In that overhaul they change it to something like 14.9 to start, then gain 1stone allowance every 5 or 10 levels... ends up 24 at 60.

Here, however, the allowance is 14.9 from 1-54, 18.9 from 55-59, and 22.9 at 60.

Just keep in mind that even if the client doesn't show you losing AC when you weigh 17-18 stones or what not below level 55, it's lying to you and you are actually losing AC.
Yikes! Thanks for the information.

My completely subjective opinion void of any factual evidence was that I wasn't getting clobbered as hard after I dropped the weight to 14...but my AC did rise a little bit so that's also a factor.
