I knew my time around the dragons city was making them suspicious...I was asking lots of questions about Wuoshis habits and my wild interest in her bow probably wasn't helping.

So, to throw the dragons off my track, I decided to go hunting a bit around the area. "Dragons? No no, I would never! I'm just here to hunt tigeraptors!".

The next day or two I spent hunting them....until, one day, a giant tigeraptor appeared....the tigesaurous!!!

Luckily for me it hadn't spotted me, so I had the advantage...kind of...

Either way, I couldn't let it stand in my way! I had to keep the dragons from getting suspicious!

So I carefully set my traps....and planned my attack....this would take everything I had.

When the battle began, it ran straight at me....rampaging through my traps! None of them able to slow it!!

Even worse is it could run almost as fast as I could!!! Not to mention its immense size!!

I ran back towards my final trap....and finally, it was snared....now I could do my work.

I pelted it with arrows and summoned my swarms of wasps to help. Resnaring it, rooting it, and using all my mana to keep it under control. The battle went on for what seemed like forever...every now and then it closing the gap on me and taking a bite of elf.

It had me down to 25% life...but I too had it hurt. Should I run? One more bite and I wouldn't have the chance anymore.....

No! I had to defeat it! It was stopping me from hunting the raptors!

So I stayed, putting my life on the line as I used the last of my mana to summon a final grasping roots.

Thankfully the roots took hold and gave me the final advantage I needed....the victory would be mine!!! When I looked over the body, I decided to take its tigeraptor skin, I wasn't quite sure what it was for....but seemed pretty good quality and it would be a shame to waste it -shrugs-

After its death I was free to continue hunting for a while longer and collected a lot more skins. But, as an archer, I had an even bigger problem on my hands.

Apparently dragon cities don't sell arrows!!! Likely from their fear of archers (which is pretty understandable). I had been hunting for quite a while, and traveling all the way back to Thurgadin was quite a walk....

As I was resting inside thinking of what to do, a band of other adventurers appeared.

Luckily one of them was a magician!! Who summoned me bags and bags of new arrows to keep hunting!

The adventurers also noticed the skins I had in my bags. Before they left they told me it could be used for some pretty fancy archers armor....humm, I had to learn more.

After some research I discovered that tigeraptor skins do make some pretty amazing archers armor!! It was just what I needed to prepare for my hunt against Wuoshi!! I had heard she wouldn't be waking up for another day or two, so I had time....if I hurried.

Humm, but first I would need to gather more ingredients..... drake oil? Velium studs? Ok, one at time!

Well, I knew drake oil was made from drake eggs....and being so near a dragons city, I was pretty sure there were drakes inside too (whatever a drake was)....I just needed to find some of their eggs....somehow.

So, I went to explore more!

It wasn't long until I came across the creatures I had met before....they seemed a lot like drakes to me....so I went to ask them for their eggs. In retrospect, it was probably a little rude.

They said they weren't drakes though! They were wyverns!! And told me to leave before they ate me.

So I kept looking....and eventually found some baby dragons, were these drakes?

I asked them if THEY were drakes...but they just ignored me. Too stuck up to talk I guess? I noticed a lot in the dragon city were like that.

Oh well, I was pretty sure they were drakes. So I concealed myself and tracked them back to their rooms.....borrowing a few eggs for later. Mission success!!

My next mission was to get some of those velium studs!!

After some research I heard rumors of a velium mine out in the wastelands.... the only catch was it belonged to orcs....and orcs definitely weren't fans of elves.

After some exploration I found the orcs fort.

Sneaking inside, it wasn't long before I found what my informant had told me to look for...a crystal teleporter to the mine? -shrug- I've seen stranger things I guess.

When I got inside the place was crawling with orcs! It looked like instead of a pick, I was going to be mining with arrows!

Sneaking around the mines I set ambushes for their miners....carefully picking them off without alerting the others.

I even had a chance to use some of the new magic I had learnt while hunting tigeraptors!

It seemed like days I was down there!! The orcs continuing to send more down into the mines....though I did notice they began to send guards with the miners. Perhaps they weren't as dumb as I thought?

Nope, nope, even watchmen didn't help them.

In the end, I had collected huge piles of velium! In fact, so much that I could barely walk out of the caverns.... so, slowly I hobbled back to Thurgadin, it was time to figure out what to do with it all.

With no smiths or brewers in sight...it was up to me to learn what to do. So in Thurgadin I studied brewing and smithing just enough that I could work with the eggs and velium I had gotten.

It was hard work!! But still not as hard as learning to fletch was -shrugs-

When all was said and done, I had my oil and my velium studs ...and of course my tigeraptor skins. Now, I had to find someone to sew it all together!!

After asking around a bit I was able to track down a crazy Iksar in the commonlands. Even better is he was willing to sew it all together for the extra velium and eggs and raptor skins I had found!! That was perfect for me, since I had spent all my platinum making the ingredients!

A little while later and he had sewn it all together!! My new tigeraptor armor was perfect for archery!

And....more importantly....dragon hunting....

It's time to get back to the wakening lands before Wuoshi wakes up!! The hunt is on!!!

I had been sitting in the wakening lands for days....just watching and tracking for signs of Wuoshi. When, suddenly, out of no where she flew down and landed in the forest. Wuoshi was awake!!!

I quietly watched her for hours while sending messages to warn others....and, more importantly, find help.

But, my warnings were of no use.... every now and then a wizard or druid would appear, and Wuoshi would quickly slay them....adding their bodies to the pile.

Humm...what was she doing though? Why a pile? Why wasn't she eating them?

And then it dawned on me....she was creating a nest of flesh to lay her eggs in!! Where they would feed once hatched and grow!! She had to be stopped!!!! But still no word of help had come....who would stop her?

More hours passed and I must have fallen asleep...because before I knew it, it was the next day....but Wuoshi was still there!!

A booming voice called out "Elf....I know you have been watching me. Come here."

It was Wuoshi!

I quickly climbed down the mountain and stood before her.

"What do you want with me elf? The only reason you are still alive is because I know of your battle with the giants....but don't assume you have free reign in these woods."

I replied quietly "Well...I heard....you had a legendary bow....I was just wondering...."

"YOU WANT MY TREASURE?!" she shouted

"You are like all adventurers! You will not have it! Do you not realize how quickly I could destroy you? A single bite, elf!!!!"

Trembling and clutching my bow I replied "I'm...I'm not afraid of you! I'm an archer of Kelethin! And I've come for the legendary Skydarkener!"

"Not afraid of me? YOU WILL BE!" she roared

Suddenly I was overtaken by fear....my elvish instincts taking control of my body and fleeing as fast as I could.

It looked like Wuoshi wasn't going to surrender her treasure without a fight....but, I couldn't do it alone!

More hours passed....and I met another archer who had taken the <Archers Vow>. It was a start, but we needed more still.

Luckily soon after word arrived of a mighty guild who had learnt of Wuoshis murderous rampage, and the nest of flesh she was creating. It was Awakened! And they were coming!!!

I quickly contacted the leader of their war band, surely two extra archers would be needed. They agreed, and soon after the <Archers Vow> officially had joined the growing battle party!

We were preparing our ambush at the giant city entrance...when suddenly shouts could be heard from the forest. Wuoshi was coming?!

It was madness!! We were all so close together!! Inside a narrow hallway!! Did they not know of Wuoshis poison breath?!

I ran out of the hallway and onto the hill outside....an archer knows better than to fight in the miasma of a dragon!!!!

Moments later Wuoshi arrived and entered the hallway. Sure enough, within seconds several of their band had fallen. But there was no time to mourn them, we were battling a dragon!!!

I followed behind Wuoshi and began shooting with my arrows. Staying out of range of her miasma.

I could hear echos of her roars and the sounds of battle bouncing off of the hallways walls....it was a mighty fight indeed!! And as I fired, I could see more adventurers fall.

But, in the end, we were victorious!! Wuoshi had been defeated!!!!!!!!

Only...when searching the body....I quickly learnt there was no Skydarkener. Wuoshi had hidden the legendary bow from me!!!! Knowing that I was after it!!!!!

So, the hunt continues. When Wuoshi awakens again, I'll be there....but next time I'll be even stronger. I won't rest until her bow is mine.

I just hope the dragon city doesn't hold this against me.
