It still doesn't answer my question of what happens when you cap out and Empire is the barrier? Is "get better" still applicable? That's going to be the mindset of people coming from blue. If anything this is an advertisement for Empire life. High end uncontested raiding on a friendly schedule with PvP in your spare time wearing best in slot gear. That's the allure of red. Well "have fun" is the ethos of success on red, though if your fun is hampered by being pk'd the , yes "git guud" is the mantra. That doesn't differ markedly from Blue.

NToV/ST gear does have an impact on pvp, but it's not an I win button. Clickies in general have more impact.

I could maybe see something like this working if /movelog was a thing, but I can't see any entire guild moving from blue and grinding through levels and gear only to know that a full NToV/ST geared army of Unsullied awaits.

Petitions, tracking, variance, rule lawyering and absurd GM rulings on the other. I know which one I'm picking every time.

PvP is scary the first few times you do it. So is training fear for a CT engage. Or running up to pull Phara Dar with everyone counting on you. It gets easier each time you do it and eventually becomes the most fun part of the game.

quite honestly i don't really care enough to try and grief a new group of players unless they act like douchebags/shitheads to us

ask aalpha, darkdeath, and zeelot about their interactions with Empire while they played on red99 as a new, up-and-coming guild
