The only way it can happen is with fear kite or aggro kite, either of which will really suck for the Rogue because latency on this server will constantly return mob is out of range / cannot see your target errors.
Thanks for the heads up! I assumed that fear kiting would be awesome.

Probably a Paladin or SK unless you want to add a chanter and cleric to do harder one-group content in Velious, in which case you would need a Warrior.
Sounds good!

Best group for what?

Until you define what you want to do this question is impossible.

If you want to kill big trophy stuff, any 2 classes with a level 60 torpor/epic shaman.

For raw leveling speed that's a toss up, but enchanters for charm dps are a prime choice as are necros as are shamans as are well geared monks. Cleric and ench with charmed pet are insanely powerful. For speed of leveling, I would vote a caster group that has a necro in it. (could be sham/ench or cleric/ench). For raw speed of leveling, bard + 2 others (preferably with aoe).

For doing trio in tricky places like kael arena? Make sure you have a monk to split stuff. Monk ench cleric works.

But yeah, until define what you want to do the question is impossible. No "best" trio will include rangers, paladins, sks, bards, druids ... etc, but each of these classes can fit very nicely into a good functional trio.

The undeniable "power" classes:

shaman
enchanter
necromancer
cleric
monk

Pick 3 and roll.

aim for where the mob will be in half a second, not where the mob is. problem solved. learned this while fear kiting unsnared mobs for 30 levels.

The problem with this method is that they rarely run the same direction for very long, and you are more likely to get adds unless you pick safe areas. Also, without a sow you can get out of range very quickly as they do 180's on you and if you are slow on the switch yourself.

I just read a few other guides/forum posts that suggest that Necro/Rogue is a really good duo. Now I'm not sure what to believe ! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

In certain situations a rogue can do plenty of dps with a pet tank. I've done it on my rogue and sk, and seen my friend do the same on his rogue. I wouldn't suggest it for leveling up though. It's tricky.

mage mage mage or necro necro necro or *any* class x3.

deep down in eq, where you wish you hadn't took that acid, you discover that eq is all 3's.

For a fast leveling and fun, I really enjoyed ranger/ rogue/ shaman. Ranger or rogue pulls and shaman works his or her ass off... but it's super high sustainable dps.

Cleric Enchanter Enchanter is probably the best through the 50s .....Shaman Enchanter Monk at 60 when the shaman has torpor is beastly as well
