Maybe he is? Doesn't matter. He handled that situation in the smartest way possible, video evidence for the cops he knew were on their way. If a man gets into physical altercation with a woman and strikes her, he's going to jail without question. The cops were on her side as it was and only that video that got her arrested.

What exactly would you have done differently?
Well we really don't know what happened. This is one side of the story. All we saw is one small point of the confrontation, and then him whining about it all throwing it into the court of public opinion rather than a court of law. I cant derive innocent or guilty opinion from one persons verbal account and a tiny bit of video, it looks to me to be entirely childish at that.

I take everything he said with a grain of salt, his account can be purely conjecture, or simply a trap/lie even. It happens. We have no real proof that "the cops were on her side" because he didn't provide any, just said that. We don't know if she called the cops twice and didn't show up. We don't know if he was just minding his own business and flying 50ft over the beach or whatever altitude he said. We saw no witnesses, only the video of a small point in the confrontation.

Seriously though, regarding your question what I would do, funny it may be to some with what did happen (no one got hurt), knocking her out over it would not be my reaction if that's what you are phishing for. And I'm quite well trained for physical confrontation to do so, and my training says it's not a good thing to do, to knock them out, death may occur, easily.

What would I do? I've been attacked by all sorts. Same as I always do in situations like that (and again, we know little about this situation), incapacitate and retreat, 100% has worked every time. Doesn't need to be something crippling or that which risks death, but giving enough time to remove yourself from the situation. Any defense training class is going to teach you that on day one. Day two on how not to even be in the position to be a victim which works marvelously.

Of course I think this guy is a manipulative psychopath. I was wondering if that video showed exactly what he wanted to show and nothing else. And I found this later in the comments:

Drone-Flying Austin Haughwout Charged With Assaulting Police

"Haughwout was yelling and flailing while attempting to get to the door, and when officers attempted to take Haughwout to the ground, one saw that he was clutching a GoPro camera in his left hand, the report said. He continued to yell and was trying to hit his head into the floor and nearby door, refused to stand up and was yelling "help me," the report says. Several officers had to carry him to the booking area past the front lobby, the report said.

He was taken to the Middlesex Hospital Shoreline clinic after he vomited in the booking area of the police department, the report said. While there, staff found a cellphone hidden in his underwear, according to the police report."
Yeah, honestly, I hadn't seen that, good find. That's all I'm saying, you never know. And being the case, like I was saying, there wasn't really anything in the vid I posted that nailed it that his story was true or even false for that matter. Other than it was imo so hilarious, in the way the guy just rolled over and then whined. But looks like the guy is just that way, got himself in a lot of trouble. They should probably drop any charges against that woman imo. Likely his first victim... or should be looked into again.

Now back to race coverage [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I wanna build one, next year possibly. I've seen some other race vids, but the ones in the original post was probably the best of them that I've found so far. I was looking for FPV car racing too, but nothing really around like that as being really sports emergent wise.

An actual great use for VR head sets it looks, but not really being "VR" as you are simply looking through the camera on your drone. But as if you are virtually inside the drone, through FPV.

Though the guy handled it like a total wuss (I can't watch it again, hurts so much laughing), er "knocking her out" two wrongs don't make a right. I think it was more she was really-really turned on by it lol, but her feminist ideology conditioned her to react over the top (a guess). When I watch that, I see total role reversal, and it's just hilarious.
The judge 'figured it out' by giving her a slap on the wrist. Doubt she learned a lesson or that thinks what she did was wrong/illegal.

Two wrongs don't make a right?

Since when is defending yourself from a violent assault wrong, hell, its not even illegal. Letting someone get away with assault is wrong, defending yourself isn't. That slooter is lucky George Zimmeraman wasn't there.

All you saw was a video of "an assault" underway, not from the beginning. This guy showed his true colors in later incidents, he's a nut case as well as his family, seriously nuts, batshit crazy. I highly-highly suspect he provoked the assault intentionally, if he didn't outright instigate the assault.

Here's some more good racing stuff.

Drone Racing Dreams | The New York Times
IDRA CALIFORNIA CUP DRONE RACE // RACE HEATS // LEG 1 - SAN FRANCISCO, CA
This Is How You Race a Drone - final race day for the California Cup
GOPro Race XDC 2 Vegas (light track night drone racing)

Some drone assisted cinematography

Professional Drone Aerial Video

Enter Durban
Crystalapse: Frozen in Timelapse (Iceland)
The Amazing Yellowstone National Park - 4K

Oh and here is something to add. I was brainstorming and realized something, FPV + AR. Checked and seems someone already caught onto the idea. FPV Drone Oculus Rift Augmented Reality Test Flight.
AR tracks would be nice too.

Glad to see thread back on track ^^ This looks like a blast. Though really, mounting a camera to any RC device and racing it would be a neat experience. I'm pretty impressed by how fast those things fly though.

Watching these in person is amazing. I have a few friends that are into it (and compete nationally). Find someone doing this, they usually have extra headsets you can tune in to watch them fly, its pretty pretty damn awesome to watch in person. They do crash a lot too (bumping into each other, gates, other obstacles), and the crashes are usually pretty spectacular.
