xp weekend means more disputes, which means more petitions, which means more attention from staff.

Unless Llandris and Braknar want to get all METH'ed out and go for 4 days straight, xp weekend not a good idea for nerds that wont be going outside.

Wasn't the whole "bonus xp over holiday" thing the idea from the staff? Why you getting all bent out of shape about something they suggested in the first place and acting like people are making unreasonable requests? I'm sure if it was that big of an issue they wouldn't have done it for memorial weekend or said they wanted to do it on future holidays.
