Crushbone is not a ghost town, unless you're playing at 6 AM. I always see 8 - 22 people there. The same goes for Unrest and Highkeep.

Tons of people in Oasis and South Karana at all times.

Highpass seems to go both ways: either there's an orc group, or there's not. If there's not, it can sometimes be worth it to send tells to people in EK / EC and try to form one.

Befallen IS a ghost town: usually 1 - 3 people there.

I usually do recommend Crushbone till 14/15, Oasis till 16, then Highpass/Unrest/South Karana till 24.

I hate oasis. =)

Girard is right unfortunately. I got a level in Blackburrow, but most of the time I'd have to solo, it's a ghost town. Same with Crushbone. Oasis sucks monster cock but at least there are people there.

As far as the OoT idea, i'll try it but not being able to heal myself is awful. I'm wondering if the exp would be better just grouping Vs. solo + downtime of regen for the sirens.
I always go to oasis... not because the xp is good, but because it's one of the most nostalgic zones in EQ (for me). Only thing missing on p1999 is the lack of trains to the docks of spec's and sg's

in fact, there seem to be way less sg's in oasis than there used to be. you used to see them running around all the time killing newbies. now all you normally see is hatar
