Complaining in Sever Chat worked!? OH SHI-
No. His post in the petition forum is what worked. These will generally move you to the shit list regardless of the situation.

You can't just post in the petition forum and let it sit there. If you post there, bump the thread once every day or two. Posts fall back about 7 pages per day, and if ip exemptions got done that day, you can forget about it ever being found until it gets bumped.

from what I read on eq2flames this sort of random bans is fairly commonplace. Just remember, this is an emulated server, don't expect the same level of service as eqlive - ie the people who run the server don't care about you. As they have indicated before - p1999 would continue development even if nobody played.

There are also enough diehard "need classic eq loot" fanbois vocal enough to trust/defend devs that gm decisions can not be contested by the community. It's just the facts of life.
And what he really means is, he's mad that he got banned for 2boxing, and is trying to troll from a new account so he isn't immediately discredited.

The irony is that while attempting to undermine the server, he's still playin... for now.

P.S. Sorry you went to all the trouble of getting a new IP address for nothing!

I hope you find what you're looking for, but it will never be the way you want it, even if they were able to make it 100% exactly like it was at launch.

thanks uthgaard for that advice about bumping the thread. I had a /surname request on there but was not sure if bumping it would be considered irritating or not to the GM's looking in that forum.
