Ok here's a peridot:
[Mon Mar 4 07:39:28 2013] Bizzznawa pierces Popple Dop for 190 points of damage.
[Mon Mar 4 07:39:28 2013] Popple Dop has been slain by Bizzznawa!
[Mon Mar 4 07:39:29 2013] You are too far away to loot that corpse.
[Mon Mar 4 07:39:29 2013] This corpse will decay in 7 minute(s) 59 seconds.
[Mon Mar 4 07:39:29 2013] You receive 5 platinum, 8 gold, 6 silver and 9 copper from the corpse.
[Mon Mar 4 07:39:31 2013] --You have looted a Peridot.--

Malachite:
[Sat Mar 9 16:54:01 2013] Selvz slashes Hiana for 129 points of damage.
[Sat Mar 9 16:54:01 2013] --You have looted a Malachite.--

Are there any other gems I should be looking for?

One could maybe assume Pearls but I haven't heard of it.
Here's a Pearl:
[Sun Mar 10 23:15:35 2013] Poddle Dod hits Bizzznawa for 20 points of damage.
[Sun Mar 10 23:15:44 2013] You receive 8 platinum, 5 gold, 10 silver and 9 copper from the corpse.
[Sun Mar 10 23:15:47 2013] --You have looted a Pearl.--

e: is there a specific 'you have created Funny Money' entry I can look for? Not getting any hits. I do have a screenshot showing a 4 FM turn in (Not 2 FM) for a gift box, which implies the change was made. Would bet a paycheck PoM was not touched code wise past Velious.

[Mon Mar 11 21:20:59 2013] Peachy D`Vicci says 'Hey there! Wanna test your luck? I have here my mystery satchel filled with gifts. Sometimes you get something nice, and sometimes ya get nothing at all. Wanna give it a shot? It only costs four funnies.'

An unfinished zone is why the puppet script never really worked correctly, and we never saw a Cazic Puppet after trying virtually every possible combination with the audience, including brute force killing all of the audience before Bristlebane spawned.
Just an interesting tidbit but someone posted a theory on this and I had a bit of a different spin onto it. But he said Cazic Thule isn't the real Cazic Thule in fear, but is the Cazic Thule puppet (we're talking Fear 1.0 here). Real Cazic kidnapped the puppet from PoM and placed him as a body double in Fear or something. He was a relatively weaker boss and what did he have a chance to drop? Puppet Strings (presumably from PoM during puppet show).

I thought the missing puppet was really the Avatar of Fear in Cazic Thule (similar size), and Cazic Thule retained the Puppet Strings for himself (which allowed him to summon multiple pets).

I never been to PoM but hope to some day, love seeing all these classic changes being remembered!

Excellent fixes. Unfortunately all of my characters in PoM on Al'Kabor were good races so I don't have the racist halfling logs.

Also one of the biggest issues with PoM currently is the Funny Money situation, someone posted the logs regarding the Words of Wealth + Words of Wealth: Top Left combine. It is a combine that works on Live to this day and worked on AK. I think there's a post somewhere on these forums with 2001 evidence of the combine, I'd have to dig for it though.
Funny money combine you speak of wasn't till Luclin sorry for your loss [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Do you have any evidence to support this claim?

I was in PoM on live towards the end of the Velious xpac, and never burned a throne to make FM.

I searched this patch notes archive (1999-2002 section) and only see the following from January 24th, 2001.

Small Patch:
The EverQuest Team is currently hard at work evaluating, planning, and documenting our project plans for the current year. As such, we did not plan game updates during this period, forecasted to last a few weeks.

However, given today's server maintenance being performed by our Operations Team, we were able to include a few small updates. These include some minor polishing on the Plane of Mischief, as well as the placement of the wizard's Velious teleport spells on merchants.
I don't have a dog in this fight, I don't even hang in PoM on p99, but accurate is accurate and correct me if I am wrong, that is a core goal of the p99 project, no?

Very handy having a log with 2,360,764 entries. Also some screenshots. Will see if I can dig up some that backup the puppet max hits, but I wasn't exactly gathering evidence for p99 while playing on eqmac...

Stomples - 355 (P sure its too low on p99, Dald? Tani?)

[Thu Mar 7 16:59:19 2013] Stomples bites YOU for 355 points of damage.

Also, Sniffles should be a super tiny wabbit. Maybe like this?

Stomples, while it looks cool as a giant wabbit, should look like this:

Still researching some of this, but I was able to make the following changes pending update.

- Tasty Candy, Super Sweet Fishing Grubs, and the bars have a chance to drop.
- The 8 Halflings in the main room will no longer spawn as KOS but will assist the treasure chest.
- The outdoor treasure chest will now be KOS.
- Lost Marbles can be foraged.
- Corpse dragging should already trigger attacks.

Not listed, but fixed:

- Treasure Chests will hit much harder.
- The locked door in the main room will fear anyone nearby if clicked.

I need more evidence and detail on the 3 rooted Halflings that should be KOS to evil races. Also need some evidence on the gem drops.
Did any of these go into effect? Doesn't seem like it.
