My mage has a mage only +3% fishing pole from the warns, it can be equipped off hand too!

I know there is the sirens grotto one that has EB and a 3% mod. Not sure if they stack as I have never done fishing... Is it like haste where only highest value is used?

Yeah, it's like haste as far as I know. Unfortunately all fishing poles can and will break at random as well...

Tell me wise master, since mage can equip it in off hand can't I put a normal pole in primary that will break, but keep the off hand bonus to always boost the skill?

Not sure. Can the mage fish when it's in offhand? There's no visibility into whether or not the skill mod is applied so I can't tell you.

I presume they won't be no drop that get handed to me, but even if they are, what will happen is the trade box will open, I will verify 8 unique fish, /shout the winner, put the fungi in the trade box then hit trade. If it comes back to me, I'll just give it to the winner I announced. The only rule is 8 unique fish and one of them can't be fresh fish.
