Banned with no explanation

I got perma banned for boxing using an external modem I had at the start of the project. Secrets was off her meds so decided to perma ban

then I was suspended for two weeks for using an ip exempt account I bought with plat to transfer for me (didn't learn my lesson)

most likely there is a good reason you were suspended or perma banned

I had 3 accounts banned many years ago for using MQ. I didn't realize that even a non functional MQ version for P99 would flag the account as using MQ. The MQ version was for EZ server where it was allowed and you are able to box many many accounts/chars at once. I played both servers and left MQ running all the time. So, if you use MQ for another server, it will flag P99 as being used there too even if it doesnt work and MQ errors on login.

So this happened to me a day ago, tried to log onto the server, and got a popup stating that the account has been banned.

Now, I have created a petition thread about the issue, so I hope the staff will reply back in due time as to why.

But this got me wondering, have any of you gotten banned / suspended without any reason being given, and were you at any point told as to why ?

Sometimes they make a mistake. I received a banned message and locked account almost a year ago with no response. After I asked why I was banned the response was basically oops your account name is too similar to someone we were banning. You're now unbanned. Just contact them and if you truly didn't do something it'll get straightened out shortly.

You will most likely not know what you did wrong unless you have friends who have GM's added on discord.

But

You did break some kind of server rule. It sucks that rules are hard to come by and even potentially harder to understand but if you play passively and don't get too aggressive with anything you'll fly under radar and won't be suspended.

I know this sucks to hear, but I dealt with the same thing. Happens.

I had to eat a 14 day suspension last June for "Trolling" in game and I wasnt given the reasoning for the suspension untill after it was lifted lol
So you probably just pissed off someone who is connected as I did.

I got banned on three separate occasions all due to server staff errors, all were undone.

1) mellowyellow, a player on red back in the day, registered my name Heartbrand on a rmt website, then petitioned it here. Took a week to get unbanned.

2) someone made the name checkraise with an n instead of a r (my mains name), as a mule character for stripping someone’s account. Got banned for two days for that until they realized it wasn’t my character.

3) got banned for a week for being afk at cabilis zone in and being accused of training by some crazy ptsd guide before being cleared.

So while OP may be guilty of something, being banned is by no means proof that he actually did anything wrong at all.
