![]() I think it would be best if characters that eventually transfer to Blue are wiped of their plat and have all their items set to NO DROP. That way people can still enjoy the characters they invested their time in but won't have any incentive to hoard plat and items to resell on Blue. I think that would also encourage a lot more pro-social behavior on Green, as well. You'd see a lot less of people selling epic MQs and such. There just wouldn't be the incentive that there is now to build up a vast fortune in plat and items since you know it would be wiped in a few years during the transfer.

/list may not be literally classic, but it enables the all volunteer staff here to provide a classic environment ... without the (paid) GMs and (paid with free EQ time) guides that live EQ had.

![]() Maybe Legacy items from Green get tagged no drop upon transfer to Blue?
Solves some potential problems on both servers.

![]() You guys are crazy. If you want to build up a vast hoarde of pixels the blue server with your already level 60 is the easiest way to do it. You can still buy manastones for platinum and you can still farm a few fungi tunics in order to do that.
For pixel hoarding the green server is a dumb ass move. There is only 1 item valuable on classic timeline and its a manastone and you can already buy it on blue and it is only usable in old world. The VALUE of green is the actual experience. On blue you were able to farm circlet of shadow for like 10 years before it was nerfed and if you did congrats and if you didn't kthnx so sorry. the influx from GREEN is not going to break BLUE economy for those few legacy items that get nerfed. So green will not serve as a money hoarding system any more than blue already is. If you wanna pharm keep farming it doesn't matter where you do it. Trying to grab a manastone just to bring it back to blue in 5 years is totally insane. The list is a non classic way to impose classicness on the manastone and legacy camps which I support so fully it hurts. Its the only way to allow normal humans a chance to get that item instead of being on guild permafarm rotation. Any accounts with cool stuff like lustrous russet coming from green to blue are going to be cool and won't take away from the handful of OG geared players already on blue so I don't see how that has any negative impact. The alternative you guys is that blue becomes a permanent desolate backwater of people who like to dragon raid indefinitely. MOST people are going to want to play through green the fun way. If they never bring those greenies back to blue, then blue is going to stay a trash can forever. If they leave the PVE pop split up forever, then each server becomes less and less viable. Plus you can play both at the same time if you're a mad dog so..thats kewl I guess. FOR LIST: I just hope that all scenarios for abusing list by larger focused groups of people will be thought through and implemented on day 1. Wishin and hopin.

![]() Blue SHOULD remain a backwater server. It has always been envisioned as the long-term beta for the final product, which will be Green in all of its many future reboots. Blue should thus become a sort of dumping ground for the characters and items acquired during one's playthrough of the classic EQ timeline on Green. A sort of retirement server. The actual purpose of Project 1999 is not to acquire as many pixels as possible in an artificially time-locked Velious server. It's to enable people to experience the gameplay of classic trilogy EQ on an ongoing basis. The fact that players can permanently keep their loot and characters for use on Blue is really just a bonus.
