The fastest weapon available right now is 5/18. There is a huge difference between the BS damage on a 5dmg weapon, and a 9dmg weapon. It's definitely worth clicking your mouse to pick it up.

Okay but I didnt tell you to use the "fastest weapon", i was responding to the OP questioning Jambiya over Glowing Iron Pike.

Also there's no reason you should be using a piercer primary if youre swapping for backstabs. Its much more effective to use a slasher or blunt primary so you can slam your backstab hotkey and itll never go off til the switch is done

I agree. I'm not using a piercer, though the fastest available weapon happens to be one. Swap in spear, backstab, swap out. Pretty simple.
