as far as what class and race to play. Try the one you played before or try them all. Cripes, I have 3 accounts and 30 something toons on Red, Blue and Green combined. I don't play them all but I tried em all.
Rangers are under rated. A great class.

I recently started a ranger, had never played one before even back in the day, and am enjoying it a lot. Feels so far like a nice balance between soloing and grouping. Also holy hell how will I ever again play this game without the tracking skill??

Note however that those who are into raiding, which isn't me, say rangers become a poor choice at that point.

Just play your fave. Game is for fun. Be the class you want to be. Don't worry about your raid guild resume.
