Hole is Karnor's 2.0 filled with mostly shitty players and a few people (pullers, enchanters, bards) carrying the dead weight.

Late Kunark / Early Velious the hole was not only great exp, but also great money. Drop of Mercury is a core ingredient to Dwarven Cultural. I made a ton of plat leveling 50-60 there, when no one else wanted to go, by collecting it and making armor. My duo was warrior + cleric. We'd go in, invite every enchanter who was soloing. The best exp group I've done is warriors + cleric, enchanter, enchanter, enchanter, enchanter in the hole.

Still pretty decent but not mega bucks. You can farm it faster in nejena or SF.

I mean you dont make buucoo bucks in the hole, but you can make good money depending on gem drops and scooping loose coin. The same war I talked about earlier made like 10k in gems from 50-60. But yeah theres no big ticket items unless your group can like, snipe yael.

I remember the day the Hole came out... I got someone to cast levitate on me and floated down inside. Levitate was removed upon zoning in for some reason (can’t remember why, but it did this to everyone). I fell to my death. I was super distraught and uncertain how to get my corpse, so I told a real life friend how awesome the Hole was and tricked him into levitating down inside too so he would lose his corpse also. I don’t remember how I got my body back, but I think a necro friend summoned it for me.

Had so much fun in hole. Whats the problem ? Its huge, challenging, well designed, interesting lore. Well it has a soul. Lots better then karnor in my opinion.
