I wonder if this idea seems good as a basis for ya know, mechanics, the system, ya know that stuff like d20.. that for the game.
Ability attributes. Just 3. Body, Mind, Soul. Every check in the game from how hit points are calculated, trade skills, resistance, basically choose from those 3, one major and one minor influence. Possible Combinations being: BODY/body BODY/mind BODY/soul MIND/body MIND/mind... So it can be basically interpreted as 9 attributes? Seems universally applicable considering D&D etc.. use around 6 or less? And the subliminal effects of only being given control over less more broad strokes of your character. It may inherently discourage a min/max mindset when one sits down to game?.. just thinking about it is all...

Consider words like "El-lev-ate" are ultimately Hebrew in origin and "Lev" describes the spiritual center or heart of an individual. Thus the El-Lev-ate etymologically means "God-Heart-make" or "to bring ones spiritual polarity upwards toward God" All of the words throughout English that utilize "lev" as a root are deacriptive of this fact. Lev-El Lev-a-tor (a muscle that lifts a member upwards) El-lev-ate Lev-it-ate Etc. It's conjugate or inverse: Grav-it-ate Ag-grav-ate Grav-el Etc

The major could count as 2x and the minor as x so every check would be agreeing the one attribute always counting as 2/3 or your "roll" is appropriate? Seems fair enough if applied across the board or no? Possibly everything is scaled 1-10 for all playable races. So each gain is immediately a 10% jump up the ladder in automatically 1/3 of what "mechanically defines" your PC?..
IDK if one looks at the pizza sliced that way how the robustly anything MMO related could be compartmentalized, sorted, gauged. Also feeling like "move along folks. Nothing mind blowing goin on here" if that's how a game could be made rewarding I guess? I'm just trying not to be productive

Now you understand why people like Horza constantly try to shame and ag-grav-ate you. It drags you down to their grav-el

It drags you down and ensnares you into reacting in Ego instead of Christ-Self or Jungian Self.

You can also implement a "repentance" mechanic where the soul's polarity can be reversed to weave dark and light magical forces, a la Grey mage manifestations.

Ideally you would have seven levels of light polarity and seven levels of dark because the number is important in spiritual contexts, seven deadly sins, seven hallowed counterpart virtues, because a cabalistic tree that reaches to heaven (sefirot) also has roots that reach to hell (Qlipoth)

I think this would be a cool flavorful way to present it kinda too. I think the added bonus of nut using terminology already affiliated with rpg mechanics kinda mystifies or obscures the mechanics of it all.
I'm getting vibes of classes and leveling would bring you through the process of basically choosing which direction you finitely have available to push yourself. 1-max level could bring you the distance of the 2 farthest points in the sphere, but only once.
