Dark Elves can be Clerics and Warriors, so Dark Elves should be able to be Paladins! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
By EQ lore Dark Elves are a twisted perversion of the High Elves, and so they get to rightly be the twisted perversion of paladins: Shadow Knights.

That tin can they have for a helmet sucks, but once Velious armor is in, I could definitely see a Human paladin. That dragon helmet is awesome and Human Velious plate is spot-on. But I'd still have to make a Tunarian Elf, ND is one of the best sword graphics EVER, in ANY game I have played (IMO).

I'm so glad my half-elf paladin worships Tunare for this reason. Maybe one day I will get him one of these... Also he has a guise so he can be a dark elf weilding a Tunare diety specific weapon lawl.

I was about to say this.

EQ is pretty liberal with their race/class combos, I think dwarf paladin is little weird from roleplaying perspective and how this game is so heavily based on DnD.

Also I am not in favor of half-pint hybrids because I retired from EQ before they were implemented so they would be completely foreign to me.

I'm on the conservative side and think paladins should be restricted to humans, SKs to humans and DEs, and rangers to humans and wood elves, and half elves. so I disagree :P
Wait, what?!

That would leave ogres and trolls with 2 options [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Still two options too many.

The 'classic' aspect of denying half pint hybrids is meh compared to the sheer awesomeness of boxing massive assling armies of doom.

Of course that requires boxing, too. But it sure was fun on Gnomish Proving Grounds and Stormhaven back in the day. [You must be logged in to view images. Gnome and Halfling Warriors make less sense than Halfling Rangers.

A Halfling tanking on a Drolvarg? Why doesn't it just eat the damn thing?

But if a shorty wants to whip out a bow and shoot at stuff I'm cool with that.
