Love the rooted dragons. Forces you to actually crawl at least some of the way in TOV etc. Way more fun than pulling to the entrance.
you think Im playing this for fun?

Remember the dungeon crawl event? No Coths, no training out mobs to clear the path. Start at the entrance and fight every single mob on the way to your target without exception.

Was funny to me how every guild avoided ToV like the plague during that event (I think they all came to agreement to end the event before half the inner circle was dead iirc).

Doesn't necessarily need to be a root the mobs situation but would love to see a meta where every mob is killed in the room they spawn. Let's be honest these servers have been stuck in velious so long we don't need anything that makes killing mobs any more efficient than it already is.

raiding in unrooted meta: "holy shit vulak pop gogogo"

raiding in rooted meta: "fuck, vulak pop, time to organize coths and get the spreadsheet ready"

anyone arguing that rooted dragons is more fun just simply wasn't part of pulling unrooted dragons, skill issue.

enjoy waiting for rebecca and doug to accept group invites to coth group

Video game should only be fun for five out of 70 members of the club.

I’m tempted to agree on disabling coth in some areas tho [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

"skill issue" says the guy who sits there in the entrance while the pull team does all the work and then hits auto attack when the mob arrives lol

is this how you describe the entire eq dungeon leveling experience? only the puller has fun?

please explain to me how dungeon camps work differently than exactly what unrooted dragons used to be which is a puller bringing a mob to a camp

Where were we discussing fun? I was commenting on your use of "skill" as somebody who is most likely a warm body who sits at the entrance and contributes barely anything to the kill.

As far as dungeons, I'm not sure that's analogous at all. In dungeons, for the most part you're killing trash mobs for EXP with the occasional ability to pull something that drops something decent. In raids, especially in Velious, you're going after the top loot in the game. As a result, those zones are designed accordingly and you shouldn't just be able to skip everything to pull the boss.

If you wanted to say in order to pull the dragon you should have to pull every single mob on the path to the dragon to the entrance and kill it before you can pull the dragon, maybe then your argument would be relevant.

Both metas suck because they result in shit getting trained everywhere to beat other guilds to the punch. If we could get a non-training-shit-everywhere meta that would be cool.
