As compared to constant high end guild drama, an RNF forum overflowing from the shit that is spewed because of it, not to mention the 300+ hackers (that only recently got caught - that doesn't count the ones that went under the rader, the countless that got banned prior, etc)? I've never played on a red server before so I have no idea what it is all about but to say I'll never give it a shot is nuts. Everyone is going to at least have a "goof off/check it out" character over there. The only thing I'm worried about is the limited time I have for eq these days. I don't know how a super casual player fits into a pvp server. I suppose all that will be answered once it comes out tho.

The worst thing would be not to get the r99 server. You pvper guys will have tons more fun on a red server and fun is the point.

If there is item loot, or even coin loot, I'll head over to Red99. If not, i'll stay here. EQ pvp is cool and all, but if theres no risk for reward then why bother with farming everything I have again. I played on Rallos Zek, since the get go with Flowers, and the item loot dynamic made PVP an unreal and addictive experience.

Who gives a fuck if you get loot or not from killing someone... Taking their camp, killing them, chasing them off with their tails tucked between their legs is > getting some stupid item or coin.

With having the whole extra dynamic/option of PVP, why would anyone settle for just a plain old blue server?

I never realized what I was missing until I tried out SZ with a friend. After that I will never play an MMO that doesn't have PVP (I put up with p99 only because it was the only option).
