How about increased exp in certain dungeons for people who want to grind out a couple levels before running off and killing people?

I'm really excited about r99. At high populations, there will be so few top level players there won't be many fights over dragons or planes. That's how it was on TZ. I was a little dismayed by what I saw on p99 with multiple guilds running all over the place stealing pulls.

Hey guys, I think 4 threads crying about leveling speed isn't enough. We need at least 5.

Some of you are going into shell shock whenever you actually start grinding when beta ends.

PS: Rogean realistically isn't going to alter EXP rates.

But thats just it. Its not like on Blue99 when you hit 50 (or 60 when Kunark comes out) things get stale. You then get to CONTINUE PVPING!

(im gonna pause here to let that sink in a bit)

And its not about people wanting to get 50 (or 60) in the first week. Thats going to happen with or without an exp bonus, unless the world runs out of adult sized diapers. Not all of us work part time at Papa Johns and can devout the time necessary to keep entertained with the classic grind. PvP requires a player base (weird isn't it), so keep the player base as high as possible by letting the casual players and bi-curious players from Blue99 to come here without worrying about sinking another 2-3 years of playing time to get to the fun competitive shit-fest that is EQ pvp.

Here we go with the "game dosent begin until max level!" syndrome again.

Thanks WoW, and all the clones that came after you, thanks a lot.

i agree with you about the whining in regard to the beta server leveling speed, if anything it's much too fast - the vast majority of people outlevel their budget and can't even afford a single lvl 8 spell by the time they get there.

however, threads about beta leveling speed are not really related to discussing a bonus when the server goes live.

technically the proposed live server is already going to be an amalgamation of different rules we had on various classic pvp servers with a dash of custom thrown in, it really shouldn't be off the table to discuss something that was in one of the classic pvp servers.

Far from the point. The message you failed to derive from my post was that the game doesn't END at max level. Why slow down the process for the casual players. You're not giving that much of an edge to the basement dweller by adding it in (they will max level within the first two weeks regardless), and this way you don't hinder those of us with outside obligations. Leave the "I spent so much time butt fucking pixels and reaching level 50 (or 60), I'm so glad exp was slow enough for me to fully explore all of the blue content on red99" to blue99.

"but the casual players!"

Began the long roll downhill that has lead to the current state of affairs in gaming today. Max level and epic weapons for everyone! in 3 days.

The project is about effort, and on red, blood sweat and tears.

No mercy, no ezmode, no wow xp rates.

I think there is an EMU called VZTZ. I hear the xp is faster there.

this plus the fact even with 20% xp bonus (which is barely noticeable, especially on certain classes), the time spent on factors that dont exist on blue servers such as
pvping/getting ganked/hiding/ traveling in obscure ways/ farming plat bc u cant afford spells cuz someone stole ur koolaid/

makes it far longer to level to 50 on a red server then a blue server
on a blue server as my graph shows, you level at a constant rate (however fast you want grind monsters) on a red server there are other variables that cause you to stop leveling that dont exist on blue servers
