Community run calendars can only work when essentially ALL raid capable guilds agree to abide by them. When one doesn't, you have to address the issue of what happens when your raid gets jacked by one of the guilds that don't follow the calendar? Not only do all guilds have to agree, but they have to continue to agree to something that has essentially no way to enforce that agreement.

We tried one on Luclin for a while, and it worked somewhat, but there were always difficulties, and eventually, everyone just gave up on it.

I could understand if they were breaking new ground, but this is 10 year old ass nostalgia. Waking people up at 5 AM to take down a 10 year old dragon, or tracking this old ass shit with afk druids 24/7 is in the realm of mental illness
yep there is a difference between a 10 year old game and one just released if people prefer to play the 10year old game [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] looks like YOU dont understand.

Or it would work if 5 of the 6 guilds agree to it and are backed by GM enforcement (if necessary).

If it's backed by GM enforcement, then it's not a community-run calendar.

Wasn't that already tried here, and dumped?

I don't care either way- I won't be raiding for a long time, if ever. Just sharing my experiences with a community run calendar in live.

Seriously, is there a reason why the raid guilds don't form alliances and cooperate? Even if one guild refuses to cooperate, the participating guilds can work together to enforce alliance rules.

Game Theory, people.

I think the addition of content widens the gap and in the end is the only real solution. There's always going to be some fighting between guilds doesnt matter if the content is 1 month old or 10 years old, it's simple human nature, we're wired to compete and with competition comes a myriad of other side effects, some being pleasant and some being un-pleasant.

wow you can read .. cudos ... so what you think will happen? every guild will fill out the calendar for 2 weeks, just to get as many spots as they can ... so unless you do the same, you will prolly get 1 ~2 targets every 2 weeks ...
RULES FOR FEAR RESERVATION
When posting, post the time, date and guild(if applicable) as the name of the topic. This makes the moderators job easier.

I. You cannot post more then 2 weeks ahead of the start of the raid. Post will be deleted if it breaks the rule. Board time will be used to determine this.

II. Do not reserve Fear again before your first raid is over. The second post of 2 will be deleted.

So I can't read, you can't read, etc etc...

Now back on the topic...
