I think the varied music is what is lacking in most newer RPG's and makes a HUGE difference in the immersion of a game.

Sad that most of it is missing in p99, I have tried playing with just the in game music/ambience going instead of external music and it is definitely lacking.

P99 immersion was ruined forever when I noticed that bum-type NPCs didn't have the sound clip, "MIGHT I HAVE SOME COPPER PLEASE?"
