The five bucks for lunch thing is pretty whack, but I like the part where he's busting his ass to make a living by... posting on P99 from work.

IMO there is absolutely no middle ground between The Establishment being responsible for starving children eating rats and lazy crackheads refusing to work being responsible for their own starving children eating rats. These are the only two possible explanations and operate completely independent of each other. Choose your side and choose well.

This is funny, but although it may not be as black and white as some people choose to see it, the facts are still the facts. The growth of the demographic of destitute people in this country is accelerating, and people with money and power are not doing anything to change that in any meaningful or lasting way. In fact, many factors that contribute to the growth of the wealth disparity are being fostered. Those are facts without color of false dichotomy.

Time for pitchforks and torches.

I'd agree with all of that. I guess I just don't see that as particularly shocking. The part about kids eating rats is obviously disgusting and sad, but it's not a byproduct of the system. There are ample avenues to be destitute and not eat rats in America.

Rich people are going to use their money to get richer. Poor people have the least ability to defend their part of the pie, so it'll keep getting smaller and smaller. Capitalism sucks, democracy doesn't work. We know that. But they beat the alternatives.

Gotta love all these people who act like they lived so long and through such tough times. It's been since 09Really Capitalism/Democracy doesn't work? Show me something that's worked better....I'm sure someone's going to bring up "true socialism" that's hilarious but anyway yeah times have been tough since 08" but there's been a lot more good times and a lot more to this country than the past 5 years and even in the bad times it was still better than everywhere else. People make it sound like it's not a country people have been flooding into looking for better lives than where they came from.

Fucking doom and gloom shit is pathetic get the fuck out there and make yourself a better life if you don't like it and stop whining about it on the internet like I'm doing about you right now.

I think... what you are trying to say is that the "wealthy" an have a posative effect on the disenfranchized, if they choose to do so, and that it is beneficial for them because the disenfranchized do not provide a secure nation or workforce for the wealthy.

Or something like that... not to put words in your post or w/e

I think both are kind of equally responsable, but to require one or the other to fix the problem while standing in the middle is dumb.
