Dredge *definitely* said/did a ton of things that warranted some heavy flaming. I'm not disputing that at all. In many threads I have specifically pointed out to him that he just needs to shut it because all he was doing was give everyone more ammo to grief him. But calling his boss? Fucking with his real life social networking accounts? What the fuck guys. Are you really that bored that this gets you off?

You can say whatever you like about me putting this up here - personally, I really like forumquesting with a lot of you on here, even the "trolls". But honestly this is taking it too far. It's pretty fucked up. I know for a fact that most/all of you would be pretty upset if someone did something similar to you. And you can say "well, duh, but i'm not stupid enough to put myself out there like that", but that doesn't make it right. Just because the information was available doesn't make it ok to use it to fuck with someone.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I don't know why I'm making this post- it's not like anyone is going to read it and suddenly think "OMG gotrocks is so right, we took it too far!!11oneone", but someone needs to come out and say it anyway. This was wrong. Very wrong. It crossed many lines that shouldn't be crossed over the internet, let alone over a 13 year old elf simulator. Dredge was *for sure* asking for it, but not like this. This was just fucked up, and you all know it.

I sincerely hope more discretion is shown in the future. Trying to ruin someone's life for no other reason than "he's fat" (which is pretty much all dredge is guilty of... other than being an internet noob and kind of dumb) is just fucking stupid, and ridiculous. It says a lot about the person who did this. Anyone making fun of dredge for failing at life, and then turning around and trying to fuck up his real life is really just calling the kettle black. If you have to do this to get a laugh/make yourself feel better/whatever reason, you need to take a long hard look at where you are in life. Cause it ain't just wrong - it's flat out stupid.

I'm done ranting. I just read that and got pretty pissed off. No one should have to worry about their real lives when their on here. This forum/game is an escape, plain and simple, and no one should be worrying about real life ramifications for posting on here.

If anyone can provide a rebuttal, i'd be happy to read it, but I really don't think anyone can come up with anything intelligible. There was nothing OK about this. Period.

while i agree wholeheartedly. one can never underestimate the depravity of a troll, that is why its better to just leave your real life out of the forums. the second you start bringing up your wife, where you work, where you live, and last but not least the venereal disease's you've contracted youre asking for people to fuck with you. im not saying its right, im just saying that a little bit of caution goes a long way.
