Real evidence related here, something none of you have:

Bard songs are supposed to scale with the bard, but since bards weren't thought of, the bard charm song was capped at level+10=37. There was only one bard song for bards because bards were meant to only need one, yet due to the oversight it only worked for 10 levels.
But there was a problem with bard charm, that had cropped up while all of this was happening, and the designers were not happy.

Really annoying argument, this was the case and what happened:

All it took was a few gods getting charmed by bards for the nerf hammer to come down, and bard charm was changed to cap at 51. 51 was definitely the best cap pre-kunark, because so many encounters were designed assuming that cap existed. Having a higher cap made some of the toughest encounters at the time (PoS, etc.) easy.

It was bards not enchanter's doing it on live.

So I guess Nagafen and Vox now hit for 110 damage as well on live? Plenty of things have been changed on live, for sure, but unless you see patch notes that demonstrate that tuning to mobs in sky was one of them, I'm highly skeptical, especially something like changing EoV hits from 865 to 155~, especially when the dps and speed of the mobs on live matches closely to many of the sky guides on the net.

Evidence matches what I got to say on all that charmin'. Thott was probably the most well known/best bard in EQ classic - Velious.

You have no clue what you're talking about. I've had trak breath hit me serveral times at over 400 PR. Reading old EQ sites on wayback, during this era people report resisting dragon/boss AEs with resists in their 100s unless they had a negative resist check.

Theres no way sky was made easier after Velious, when you could 2 group it by the end of velious.

Those logs are right in line with multiple links to guides from that era. What are you even arguing about at this point?

Good thing Trak has a -250 resist check on his breath that isn't working as intended here. Was on a lvl 59 with 120 PR on blue and got a resist. No way that should even happen. Its poison and all or nothing though. If you resist any of it on the check, it wont hold. Kinda like force strike or... oh hey envenomed bolt!

But yeah like dude posted, con that shit on EQ Mac and even better, Thott's posts confirm what I'm saying. Show me where it specifically says dictate will land on him. Please lol.

Please read my thread again. Practically everything in there should be charmable/mezzable, currently none of it is. Enchanters aren't supposed to be worthless until Velious!

I agree from that other thread more things should be mezzable/charmable. However, I consider this Sirran deal to be more of a problem. Most of these mobs have quite high magic resist, so dictate (if they are level appropriate) is the only viable solution I see to safely to dat damage in.

Apologies to all for debating in here and I wish I had another medium to debate and link evidence with other posters.

I'm not just trying to make things harder for you guys. I want Hoshkar not to dual wield (double attack is OK tho!), same with CT. I submitted a smaller "helper bug" regarding ranger skill caps. Cut me some slack, I'm not freaking evil here guys.
