"Pick 3" HoT /randoming has been pretty effective for our 'down time' PUG raids within the guild.

Concept:
Spreadsheet is made on a google doc. Everyone must visit the sheet and fill out 3 choices of gear ( Chain, Leather, Silk, Plate and which slot ) they want to 'compete' for. You cant double or triple your picks to gain 'extra' rolls, must be unique pieces but no limits to what can or cant be picked for your 3.

Once everyone has picked the three items they wish to /random on, you start killing. When an item drops, only the people who pre-selected that item can roll. If an item drops no one selected, its a greed roll.

If you cross an item off your list, its just that, you cant roll for the same item if another drops and hopefully you wont bail if you score 2 items or even 3 out your choices.

Its pretty fun but dice will make you want to return to DKP if you are trying to gear your main character versus everyones alts hehe.
