Yeah it's a difficult situation and not sure what we could have done better. The biggest problem was that the second we made that pact and committed to a pullout, the entire police and security force became demoralized and realized they would likely be fighting a losing battle. Without American logistical and air support it would likely only be a matter of time; so they started taking bribes from the Taliban to surrender, hence the massive advances the Taliban were able to achieve rapidly.

IMO this likely would have happened whether we did it 5 years ago, whether we did it now, or whether we did it 10 years from now.

it's a far cry from promoting violance or condoning it and using it for gain and black magic

this it's pretty suicidal for anyone in that country to not have a tribe at this point and the US tribe no longer exists if it ever really did (it didn't really sort only a brandname for the guns there)

That's very correct imo! This was not a traditional rout, government forces simply gave up without a fight. Politics.
