Not much story here, I'm afraid. I IVUd down into VS's room and killed the 4 mobs that are down there for 3 cycles before the Knight popped in the back of the room. He didn't even have the decency to cough up something I could sell. Looks like the rest of KC is camped right now... I might be productive IRL today and see about getting construct and warlord in the wee hours tomorrow.

This one I have a story for!

After getting chased out of KC early this morning (20+ in KC at 7 am est but only 6 people in KC at like 4 pm est... go figure), I returned this evening and found Construct of Sathir popped along with 3 hand dudes.

Attempt one:

Well, I was rushing things. Guess I was paranoid that I'd lose this super awesome mob who drops ultra awesome loot and is soooo rare, or something, and I started lulling the room from just outside when I was at like 70m. I can ToT this guy right? Screw starting with 100m! I got it all lulled, thought I would try killing inside the room while just keeping the other two hands lulled or dazzled, so charmed a hand and buffed him and send him at the not-yet-debuffed Construct. Then just as I was going to run into the room, a little dog and a curate came around the corner and started beating on me.

I got this, right? Dumb. I ran into the room and stunned+AE mezzed in the corner where the Construct (who was still not debuffed... cause my brain is dumb) was. Then my brain got dumber and I just, for whatever reason, was fixated on that stupid little skeleton pet. I wanted it to be dead first, ya know? Get it out of the way? But my pet would NOT attack it... perhaps because of a disease dot from construct or something on him? Even if I mezzed Construct and backed pet off with spammage, he just kept going back to the Construct.

Anyway, by this time my berserker spirit and rune are gone and I'm at like 80% health. Mana wasn't exactly good to begin with, now I was under 40%. I'd show you some screenshots of me being dumb, but in this frenzy of great enchanting, I totally forgot to take any.

Oh, and then charm broke and I got summoned... and hatted.

Attempt Two:

After I recharged, gated back to KC, threw up some fresh buffs, and turned down a group invite, it was time for attempt two. But, well, not really. Aggrod a dog on the way in, mezzed, blurred, continued. Saw dead stuff in lcy, so I IVUd and ran in. Rounded corner to head up the stairs there and there's two little dogs. So I take THEM to the top of the stars for mezzing, finally get both of them to stay blurred, then that damn skeleton who is always on top of the tower right there but is fallen through the ground or something so I don't see him aggros me... I actually had to hat from 2 skeletons.

I almost gave up here. I had been playing all day, made a few blues in seb looking for shinies, did some work on my epic, etc. But I figured I'd try one more time.

Attempt Three:

Lulled the room. Ran in by the tables in there, petted a hand and let it die. Relulled Construct (I think I had ONE crit resist on lull all day today, out of at least 50-60 resists), petted the third hand and buffed him and finished off remaining one. This time I wasn't about to send a pet at the Construct willy-nilly, though: http://postimage.org/image/ma0xx80hn/ (and yes, I did notice the pawbuster beginning to radiate!)

I mezzed it so my pet could kill that damn skeleton safely, and proceeded to tash, slow, cripple, and ToT the Construct in the meantime. Root wore off early and I got dragged over into the hot corner, but my pet was level 50, so things were moving along pretty well. Without weaponizing though, my pet was just holding even with the slowed Construct so far: http://postimage.org/image/j864reawb/

I started to learn how annoying higher-level fights can be, as the Construct resisted 3 stuns in a row on me. But then I had better luck, plus charm was holding: http://postimage.org/image/v9pgt1ucn/

After another 30 seconds of semi-stunlock and 1 nuke (for good measure) later, the Construct was dead: http://postimage.org/image/kaj2092n1/

I camped out my pet and IVUd to check out warlord. He wasn't up, but as I saw earlier, pawbuster was. I got him down too, although I nearly bit the dust when charm broke and I was distracted trying to relull the other two bodyguards and was a bit slow getting a stun off. i sure do love harmony in KC.

quick tip, pull the hand room mobs to the box room (safe area) and pull the pawbuster to just outside the door to his room. on the stairs is enough room to fight him and not have to worry about re-lulling the other bodyguards. with harmo I'd just fight them where they stand, but if i had to relul each one and there was a chance for a crit, i'd just pull the mobs to a safe area, since there are many.

also, sucks you had to hat from the construct the first time, but did you have to hat from those skeles? you probably could have trained them out and saved yourself the hassle of recharging your cap.

sounds like fun tho [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Well does one ever really HAVE to hat from anything? My rune and berserker strength were down and I was near 50% hp IIRC, since in my rush to get away from the two dogs I picked up that invisible skele and a pathing buddy of his. I guess KC, of all places, would be the zone to err on the side of danger, since I am bound right outside and could fetch my body in seconds and could almost assuredly find a rez. But I'd still end up having to wait off rez effects and tip for the rez... so it is almost a wash even in the easiest of all zones to get a rez in.

And here i thought my fights with the construct and warlord were chaotic, lol. Is interesting to see different strategies and tactics. I did these two completely different...I'm on my phone and it's annoying to type or else I'd tell my fun, cap intensive stories, lol.
For whatever reason, I'm a bit careless in KC. Probably familiarity with the zone making me overconfident. I had never been in HS except in groups in west where I just followed the leader and stabbed stuff, and I'd never been in seb except to get COTHed down to Trak... so I have better thought out and less eventful kills in those zones, it seems like [You must be logged in to view images. I definitely want to hear your stories when you're able to type them out, lol.

[S] A Drolvarg warlord [52 Warrior, Karnors]
Just logged on (I had camped just outside the door to warlord room) to find 3 bodyguards and the warlord up. I lulled the three bodyguards, peeked into the room between ticks and dropped a dazzle on the warlord. Tashed him, mezed a bodyguard and petted him (glad I've had better luck finding level 51 bodyguards than the first time I saw a warlord up a couple days ago), debuffed warlord, used pet to break mez and pulled back to the door.

Things were going well, but I nearly sealed my fate, as you can see in this screenshot when I was TRYING to root the warlord... but actually fettered myself for a single tick. Heh: http://postimage.org/image/rpz7b16uj/

I got root on him after that though, but I was having issues staying out of melee range. I think the camera angles with third person in the little hallway were tricking me into thinking I was farther away from him than I actually was: http://postimage.org/image/mm7xmtvqj/

Fortunately this just meant that my pet, which I actually weaponized and hasted, was annihilating the warlord and not getting scratched himself. Somehere in there I did deal with a break, and the warlord resisted my first stun... but I had two loaded at the time so things were under control before he got more than two rounds off on me (WTB forlorn deeds!).

Finished up in not-great shape, like 60% hp and 20% mp, but considering I made a couple of mistakes along the way, oh well: http://postimage.org/image/bgo7sv5wr/

Took long enough to get the pecker to pop. I've been killing his PH (and any casters that popped in his room) for over 2 days now, probably 15+ PHs, and just now did he pop. Had one black sapphire and a bunch of normal gems off the PHs to show for it, and Daire got his ranger the mask off the beetle.

The fight wasn't pretty, though at least it wasn't entirely my fault for doing stupid things this time... I just had a mez resist, two stun resists, and a mez interrupted before I finally had control of things at the start of the fight.

I didn't think to look for my screenshot button until after I had parked mobs, charmed and buffed my pet, debuffed the bug, and put BS and rune back up: http://postimage.org/image/bm0trkk6b/

The rest of the fight went smoothly. I forgot to get a SS of the corpse/loot because I was re-rooting the mobs and talking to Qwin, but he'd vouch that his ranger got a shiny new beetle mask off of this poor scarab just seconds after this: http://postimage.org/image/didgumbs5/

The rest of sebilis will be a treat, I'm sure, since everything is harder plus I have absolutely no idea where I'm going or which mobs are PHs for the nameds and all that [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Figured out which frog was his PH with /loc and the wiki, and he popped on the third clear. I had just been hanging out in the hallway outside, camping in and out invis (a dar someone had used as a pet was pathing, so no see invis there), and when named popped I lulled the krup and armorer, petted the bok, weapons, buffs, mez armorer, debuffs. No charm breaks, dead armorer.

I forgot to SS the loot screen again, but at least I remembered to take one before I camped/gated: http://postimage.org/image/t7r8g6eld/

One more kill for disciple! Although I'm going to do the whole tier I think, and then make 60, then worry about master [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Looks like you aren't having many problems with the Disciple rank Tecmos, so with two more levels the master rank shouldn't be too bad.

Definitely try to pick up Bedlam! A great spell.

P.S. Find me a Blade of the Black Dragon Eye Trys!

Actually found NG open for like, the first time ever, since I started poking around in seb. And after a rough start, courtesy of some monk training his way into crypt without warning me (but I'm not bitter anymore, because he died and I'm fairly certain my pet contributed to it)... things were rolling along nicely.

I never managed to get a nice pet in the roamer, so I kept grabbing a bok knight from down nearer to crypt and using him to kill the scarabs, the roamer, and the other static frog. I probably went through 4 cycles of bugs (netting me 1 BS and a few rubies) before necrosis popped.

My pet was rooted in place from some blur-healing, so I tashed the scarab and he stopped when he got to my pet: http://postimage.org/image/u0buwpvtn/

Rooted him and started slowing, which took a few tries, and then charm broke while spells were recovering. They got me down to 60-something before I landed a stun and got things back under control. Because of the positioning of my pet, the next scarab to pop had me a bit worried, so I rooted+tashed him where he stood just incase: http://postimage.org/image/vpmoz0ngz/

The rest of the fight was unremarkable, though. Loot: http://postimage.org/image/r43ml3dkx/

Damn. After I logged in this morning and found chef up, and then spent 2 cycles clearing stuff down in his room and in Froggy's area without event, I was feeling like I might get to post a double update.

But then I tried to invis pull the armsman PH over to froggy's area and got a crit resist on my first lull directed at a see-invis jin wiz over there and couldn't quite salvage the operation... musta been 2 52s in the room with him, cause I just could not get fetter to stick on them so that I could hop out of LoS and camp off aggro. Oh well. I hatted. Also, dang it! I always forget that I have several nets I should use to deal with situations like this.

But yeah, before all that, I logged in to find chef up. Conveniently there was a bok knight (and 3 krup knights) in his room with him, so I lulled the place up and petted+weaponized the bok, had him bring chef back to near the top of the stairs there, and proceeded as usual:

No loot SS cause I was camping out already; wasn't sure if I could manage to pick up that scarab through the door or something, so I was trying to be careful. It was just a bladecatcher for me to give to a fire beetle or something, I guess [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Well crap. I killed repairer like 5 hours ago now, and I've kind of forgotten my story about him. I don't THINK there was much to say really. I started keeping the chef/repairer room clear except for the bok knight I had as a pet, which was a super nice way to go compared to all the lulling and ninja pulling and crap I have done for most of my time in here. There was plenty of room to fight on the top of the stairs without aggroing more frogs from below or the pathing mob in the room outside. Of course, just about the time I had all the frogs in there spaced out nicely, repairer popped.

Finally, this fella decided to rear his ugly, little head: http://postimage.org/image/ryq674t5n/

I actually thought Froggy spawned out in the room behind me here, by the table out there. But I can't blame that for it taking forever to finally see him, because 3/4 of the time I was clearing the mob in this side room out also. It is SO annoying when there are shamans all over the place, spamming greater heals on my enemies every time they get down to like 35% hp. I'm hoping I never have to worry about cleric mobs around every corner, CHing things... lol.

Froggy's only worth a couple screenshots, since I hate him and the fight was totally uneventful: http://postimage.org/image/yte7epnu5/

Ah, well. One more of Froggy. The next cycle, after no sign of Froggy back here for days, the smug bastard is back: http://postimage.org/image/ewhz3y2sb/

I didn't kill him again though. A swarm of krup shamans over by armsman was going to keep me busy for a bit until I got tired of all the frog death and decided to take the rest of the day off.
